Babysitting, San Diego 3/03-9/05 I watched three children, boys (10 and 3) and girl (7). I was responsible for picking them up after school and watching them until their mother came home, and occasional weekends. My duties after picking them up included taking them to any after-school activities they might participate in, going to the park, riding bikes, help with homework, cooking and feeding them dinner, bath-time, family laundry, etc. Experience with mental disabilities, as the oldest boy had bi-polar and on occasion he had melt-downs that I was responsible for handling. I watch them regularly once a week, and I also do occasional date nights. Babysitting, Castro Valley 01/06- Current I watch 2 girls (2 & 3) who are adopted. I started watching them on Saturday morning for a few hours so their mom could have time to grade papers, prep for class, etc. Now I am watching them one day at night while she is teaching class. I have been babysitting since I was 14 years old. I started out babysitting kids in my neighborhood in high school, ages anywhere from one to 12. In college, I was a member of UCSD's swim team. During the off season I was a coach/counselor for the UCSD swim camps. During the day I was in charge of coaching a group of 20 kids, ages 7 to 17. At night, I would stay overnight in the dorms and was responsible for a group of 15 girls, ages 9 to 11. During the summers, I was a nanny for a family with two boys: ages three and seven. I would take them to the park, swimming pool and play with them around the house. I also have taught around 12 kids how to swim (ages 2 through 8). I am CPR and First Aid Certified and just finished a course to become a certified nursing assistant.

I have raised two happy, healthy and successful children both attending college on scholarships. I was a two time PTA president which requires attending classes relevant to child raising. I have also attended many parenting classes by Dr. Walters of the Center for Children and Parents. I have an open door policy with all the small children in my neighborhood. They often come over to play or have dinner. Their parents are my best references. I have a deep respect for children and look for their innate intelligence's so that I can help foster their success. I have a positive parenting style
