For the last 1 1/2 years, I've been a nanny to a wonderful 2-year-old. Unfortunately, she is going to preschool. Before that, I was a Preschool Teacher and caregiver for one year to 14 children ranging in ages 5 months to 8 years old.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, but working on getting a Master's degree in Education. I have over 10 years of experience as a nanny and working in daycare centers. I am very outgoing and friendly and love to be active with children! I am CPR and First Aid certified, hold a Substitute Teaching Permit, and have TB test clearance. I am also LiveScan fingerprinted with criminal background clearance. I am very easy to work with and I am confident I would be a great fit for your child.
My recent job duties included caring for a child at least 3 days/week since she was 18 months old. I would take her to the park, pool, library, museum, beach, or any other fun adventure we came across. I read her books, made crafts, played with her toys, and engaged her in many activities. I assisted with potty training and prepared her healthy snacks and meals.
My last job job duties included caring for and teaching 14 children ranging in ages between 5 months and 9 years old. I aid in implementing educational approaches throughout the daytime, evening, and weekend programs by creating a daily preschool curriculum. I worked with children to increase their process for memory, perception, attention, and imagination, taught students simple skills to assist them for entry into elementary school, led weekly lessons, taught children how to create crafts, organized activities including outings to parks and museums, provided child care, supervised during outside play time. Daily activities include art, crafts, circle time, reading, letter and number instruction, field trips, morning nature walks, preschool curriculum, group play, outside activities, and fine and gross motor activities. My duties also include potty training, transportation, light housecleaning, caring for four dogs, and preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children. Other duties also include managing enrollment, nutrition program, and paperwork.
