I have extensive childcare experience. I started watching my younger cousins when I was 11. At the age of 16, I received a job with a family of 3 (10yo girl, 6yo boy/girl twins), of which I did date night babysitting every other week and occasional overnight stays during the week. The dad traveled out of town occasionally, and the mom was a nurse that sometimes had night shifts the coincided with the dad being out of town. While watching these three, there were times where the neighbor also had me watch her two children as well (8yo girl, 5yo boy). So five kids at once. I have also cared for a family of 2.5 (7yo girl, 3yo girl, and a giant Schnauzer (dog)). The family I have been apart of the longest is my neighbor. I have been watching the two kids (now 9yo girl, 5yo boy) since they were a month old. These are "my kids" I remember their birthdays and always try to do something like science or art projects with them when I watch them. I have done the occasional odd job for neighbors and family friends as well throughout my years. I am always trying to teach the kids something or do something different from their day to day. My mom's a teacher so I guess I get that from her. I am CPR certified (exp. March 2014), was on the swim team in high school (so extensive swim training), proficient in German (if you would like your child to learn a new language/speak to them in German), have a valid CA driver's license (never been in an accident...knock on wood), I am a vegan (but I can cook practically any type of dish you desire...as long as there is a recipe), and I am willing to work with you in the parenting style you are practicing. I look forward to hearing from you. =D

I previously worked for the a family with Jack who was 6 months old and worked with this family for a little over 3 years of which we was a beautiful experience to learn and see Jack grow throughout the years. We went to lots of fun activities: the beach, park, sang and danced at music class, read lots of books and taught him many lessons along the way about sharing, and social skills. and spent lots of time playing and being silly at home. Prior to that I worked with a family for another 3 years Joelle was a newborn when I started with her. We spent lots of time snuggling and I read lots of books to her, and sang lullabies, as she got older we had the fun experience of the binky fairey coming to pass on her binkies to other children that needed them. With her and Jack I went through the adventure of potty training and we made it through whew. I find education to be important and with all of the families I work with I find every moment to be a beautiful opportunity to teach and education your children. I also worked for another family with twins Sierra and Parker, they were 3 months old so we had a lot of tummy time, and snuggled a lot, I created a feeding and sleeping schedule, we played on the floor and learned how to walk and crawl, bathed them, fed them, gave them naps, and changed there diapers, we went outside and took walks.

I have 11 years of childcare experience with all ages, ranging from babysitter, nanny to art teacher. It has been a job that I love doing ever since I started in high school. I have been a nanny to families for up to 3-4 years and developed a wonderful relationship with the families that I will always hold close to my heart. I became an Art Teacher after college for an outreach program and taught kids from age 4 to 18.

I have been in the care-giving, education and helping professions for over 20 years and I love being in service to children of all abilities, especially to those with special needs. I am a champion for the plight of transcending obstacles and reaching one's full potential In Canada, I earned a diploma in Special Education and a degree in Counseling Psychology. I worked in special education for over 15 years (initially as a student support worker and then as a special needs instructor/program planner). For many years, I also worked privately doing respite care and specialized tutoring. In Canada, I had my own counseling practice as a Registered Professional Counselor and now, in Los Angeles, I have a part-time life coaching business. I have had the honor to work with the whole spectrum of children with disabilities ranging from children with autism, Down Syndrome, global developmental delay, cerebral palsy to ADHD, ODD and psycho-emotional challenges (just to name a few). As a special educator, caregiver, counselor and coach, I focus in on the inner worlds of clients and aim to discover the resilient spirit within that is the catalyst to overcome barriers and fully thrive.

I have been a professional nanny for over two years now. I have only dealt with multiples, up to 4 children at a time. I have been a housekeeper and a nanny simultaneously, and can multi-task with great efficiency. I can watch older children but prefer infants, because I like the personal connection I have with their development.
