I have worked and interacted with many families throughout my years of babysitting and nannying. Currently, I am a live-in nanny for a family with two children, 8 and 5 years of age. My responsibilities are endless! I do everything from childcare to personal assistant tasks, and I work multiple hours at all different times. They are wonderful! However, they are relocating soon, and I will need to be employed again. (I am already so sad and will miss the children!) Prior to this, I nannied for another very sweet family almost six years until the two boys, Jack and Chris, no longer needed childcare. Carroll, there mother, decided to go from full-time employment down to part-time. :( Both the boys were absolutely a joy to work with. I took care of them Monday through Friday from 12pm-6pm. I would pick Chris up from school at noon, and Jack would be picked up later at 3pm. My responsibilities were to pick up the children from school, take them to after school activities, help with homework, play with them, feed them, assist with picking up after them, and keep them active until the parents came home. Often, I would run errands for the parents as well. Basically, I did anything and everything a parent would do for their own children, and I treated Jack and Chris as if they were my own. It was a pleasure every single day. I grew very close to the family and became a very special part of their lives. I still go visit the boys and take them out when I can. I really miss them! I have many more work experiences with numerous families in my work history to share!! :)

While I have been babysitting since I was 15, I began doing more professional types of childcare in more recent years. I began nannying for a family in Niwot, Colorado for one entire summer, 2-4 days a week and about 2-5 hours per day. I took care of three children at once, ages 16 months, 5 years and 7 years. For the past 6 years I have been giving swimming lessons to kids from ages 3-10, both on a volunteering basis and for my work at . Also, I have worked with theas a tutor for kids with struggles in the classroom, particularly children with attentive disorders, and any child who just needs a friend.

I absolutely adore children and have experience from infants to pre-teens. I love to encourage outside activities as well as fun and stimulating projects as opposed to just sitting kids in front of the television. I enjoy being active and have loved taking the children that I have babysat in the past on outings to the library, museums, the pool, biking, hiking, to batting cages, or to a park/playground. I like to practice and play sports (basketball, baseball/softball, football, gymnastics, and frisbee) with children. I also encourage creative activities such as arts and crafts projects (For example: paper mache, clay hand-building, painting, drawing, photo albums, picture frames, homemade dolls, chalk, DIY instruments, bracelet and necklace making, etc). I also dedicate time for homework, tutoring, and reading (depending on the age of the children) and try to make it as fun as possible. I also have a valid Driver License, a reliable Chevy Malibu and am a non-smoker.

I have taken care of my younger siblings for many years. Being from a family of 7 kids makes me very good with all ages of kids. When I was thirteen I started volunteering in my church nursery working with all ages of kids, and now I am currently volunteering in two different church nurseries. I babysat for the same family of 3 kids for two summers as well. The kids were 6, 9, and 11 when I started babysitting. A boy, girl, and boy. I have experience with all types of children, and basically love working with kids.
