I am currently a nanny for a type one diabetic child during the school year. I have worked with her for 2 years now. My duties include getting her ready for school in the morning (breakfast, medications, school bus), picking her up from the bus stop in the afternoon, scheduling appointments and bringing her to those appointments. I am also responsible for checking and monitoring her blood glucose levels and delivering insulin via her pump or novolog pen when necessary. I also am responsible for changing her pump site when needed. On occasion, I was a chaperone for school field trips. Over this summer, I also took two odd babysitting jobs, both which allowed me to bring my children. The first was for three children ages 11, 8 and 4. I brought them to their swimming lessons and to the park before heading home to make them lunch. I had them from 9am-3pm for two days. The second was for a 7 month old boy over the course of 2 weeks while his usual sitter was on vacation. I had him from 7:30am-5:15pm. Duties included diaper changes, feedings, naps and general play time. Also, as a mother, I have experience with newborns, toddlers and young children. I am able to keep calm in emergencies, soothe fevers and general illness, and I understand that children need gentle hands to guide them.

I have been a nanny for the past 12 years and have worked for 3 families. I have cared for children ages newborn to teen. Along with taking care of the children, my job also included doing the children's laundry, grocery shopping, dropping off and picking up from school, taking children to activities (library, music, gymnastics, etc.), cooking for children and/or family. I am a non-smoker and I have a spotless driving record. I own my own car which I can use for the job. I am also willing to drive the families car, if needed. I have excellent references from my previous employers which I will provide upon request.
