I have been babysitting on and off since middle school. While attending college I babysat two children a few days each week for four years. I also babysat the children for extended periods of time when their parents went on vacation. I have experience with infants and children of all ages as well as mentally and physically impaired children!

As for experience with children I cant really remember a time I wasn’t around them. I am the oldest of 3 children in my family. I am 5 years older than my brother and 8 years older than my sister, so as you can imagine I fell right into a little mommy role early on. I loved it and began to babysit around the neighborhood around the age of 10. Since then I have taught swim lessons, worked at a summer camp as an assistant camp nurse and nannied for a wonderful family. As a got older and more career oriented in school I had less opportunities to babysit and nanny, but I have always missed it. As I am looking to relocate to Florida I thought I would see if I could find another rewarding experience and great family to work with.

My first family were two boys ages 3 and 5. Their dad was a physician and their mom was a homemaker. I nannied for them mostly at night when the parents went out for dinner. My duties were to feed them dinner, entertain and put to bed. We would watch cartoons and read books together. I also nannied for a 7 year old girl and her best friend my duties included preparing dinner for them as well as provide entertainment and a watchfull eye. At the end of the night I would tidy up the house doing the dishes, vaccuming etc. I recently nannied for a girl age infant to 1 year while her parents worked my duties included feedings, diaper changes, play time entertainment, scheduled nappings, bottle prep as well as lunch prep.

My childcare experiences are second nature to me. There are what breathing is to the body and spirit and come naturally, because consistency and time has lead me here. It all began when I was a teen and I wanted to emulate the workings of the "Babysitters' Club" that I adored via books and eventually the t.v. show, and so, I embarked on the service of aiding children ever since. I have done so with organizations as well and traveling on retreats in hopes of aiding those who weren't born as fortunate as others. I love what I do, and I am unafraid of the imaginations' childrens dare to own.
