2 yrs of experience

For seven years, I have been an independent reporter, videographer, editor, and scriptwriter for Teen Kids News, a worldwide show based out of New York City, New York and created by Al Primo. Since 2009, I have been the only out-of-state talent that has involvement with the show. That means that my job description was traveling around the country to do what I love most: delivering and educating teens of the stories of American people and places. During my career with TKN, I also took on the role of the Southern Interscholastic Press Association (SIPA) president, right in Columbia, SC. My time as president was energetic, informative, and rewarding as I was privileged with representing thousands of students across 13 states that were "on-fire" for journalism. As The Charlotte Observer's Young Achiever, and a writer for several publications within the Charlotte area, I was able to further my writing and reporting career with hands-on experience. In the summer of 2016, I completed serving my most-recent job as a production intern with one of the largest, multi-campus churches in the Charlotte area. At Forest Hill Church, I took on the role of producing all of our services, and assisting in the creative fabrication of lighting scenes and set builds.
Traveling the world (and blogging) as an au pair has been one of my most treasured endeavors, where I was able to build relationships with and educate French children and families on American culture and language. My babysitting experience has extended for eleven years in which have been filled with continued education, certification, and more to ensure the best results of the families I cater to. Not to mention, I was raised and medically trained from the age of 5 as my siblings were twin preemies born at 26 weeks. After the two summers in Europe, I have had the privilege of furthering my education at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina. During this time, I worked with five families (all with children under three) in attempt to facilitate and encourage their young, developing minds through motor, sensory, and language activities. I would be honored for some of my next steps to be alongside your family, as I have a hard work-ethic, a knack for creativity, and a love for all children. I recently moved to Brookhaven and I can provide many references! Thank you for your consideration!

Hello amazing parents & guardians! My name is Skyy Harris. I am a female sophomore in high school turning 16 very soon. My goal is to help. Even though I am young I have experience working with children. Throughout middle school I volunteered at a day care which had an after school program dance studio for children of all ages in Miami, Florida. I caught two public buses everyday to get there and left after all of the children went home. Working there was a very happy time for me because I was able to gain experience tutoring kids of all learning capabilities and sizes. I moved to Atlanta and I really miss the joy of working with kids.

I am on the honor roll with honors courses. I excel in all subjects and love helping other students in class. I also take chorus and love music. Although I take everything I do seriously, I have a very bubbly personality. I love to make people laugh. I love working with children because I can offer them the importance of education & life lessons that might allow them to grow older and genuinely be good people. I love all types of animals as well, big or small.

No matter what you will always see me smiling as I am an optimistic person that only brings positive energy to the table. My teachers and people I know would describe me as very bright, intelligent, creative, patient, compassionate, open minded, hardworking, outgoing, and caring. I take learning very seriously and I also enjoy working out. I can help a child learn because I grasp the importance of working with young minds. Children are influenced easily and it is important to me that I am a good influence. I am young but people often say I have an old soul and that I am mature. I would not only be a babysitter, I would be a friend who will guide your child in the way you see fit

I'm a mother of 4, a grandmother of 13 ages range from 1-17 and they love being around their Nanna (Me) 😀. During 02-06 I ran my own 24 hour state certified childcare service which I had 8 kids on a daily basis but at any given day I could have as many as 13 depending on the one parent's work schedule. They kids that I take care of now are mainly after school hours til about 8-8:30pm and sometimes I'll stay at parents home if they are going to be away from home during school nights or even a weekend getaway. I've also work in childcare at a gym from

] until the gym closed it's doors. I was 2nd shift lead and at any given time I could have just 1 child the whole shift to 18 kids throughout the shift and their ages ran from 6wks-12yrs only. So with that being said and although I don't have a degree in childcare via school I have a life long first hand childcare experience with minds and many others kids which I love and care for just as if they were my own and the parents love and appreciate me and my attention I've always given their child(Ren) in my care. The kids love me as well, they would never want to leave me or me leave them 😃. So I guess I can say I've always Loved being around kids.

I'm currently looking for full-time employment in childcare where I can help garner ways to enhance the quality of life for children. I have been a professional nanny for over seven years caring for and educating children from newborn to preteen, and have five years' experience as a preschool teacher having to care for over 10 children and a high school teacher. My love and passion for children goes beyond being a nanny and it has always been strong. I love children and being able to have the opportunity to work with them. Working as a nanny is a wonderful experience. I am honored to take care of the children I meet and have a positive impact on their lives. My passion for children led me into many youth groups in my community, church and school regime. Where I assisted in coordinating events, planning, communicating with sponsors, donors and volunteers. I planned programs, field trips, fundraisers and daily activities in the summer. Learning through exploration, art, reading, nature and outdoor observations offers children a rich experience. Nurturing each child's interests helps them become strong solid people who respect themselves.

As a parent, it’s natural for you to ask your nanny for a little extra help around the house. However, the boundaries for a nannies duties vary from person to person. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met.
