Previously, I was a nanny for a family of 3. My duties included cleaning up after breakfast, driving the oldest to and from preschool 3 days a week, preparing lunch, and giving baths. After the nanny position, I worked in a daycare for a year, where I would care for up to six infants at a time. Working with the infants was pretty simple. I made sure they all had clean diapers, made sure they ate, and made sure they were clean. We would have tummy time and listen to music. Sometimes I would work with the 2 year olds and I would have up to ten children. I normally would only have them for half a day. I would come in during lunch. After everyone was finished, they would lay on thier mats for nap time. They would usually sleep until about 2:00pm. After naptime, the children would use the potty, wash hands, and have a snack. Then, we would either play outside or, depending on the weather, have structured play indoors until about 4:30pm. Again, we washed hands and faces, and sometimes we would have another snack. During the summer months, I would work with the 4 year olds and some days I would have 18 children. The 4 year olds were fun!! We would watch movies during naptime, have snacks, and play outside. Sometimes we would play baseball, or kickball. Hands and faces were almost ALWAYS clean when parents arrived.

I am the oldest of five and I take care of them all the time. The youngest is now three and the oldest is fourteen, so I'm very diverse with age. I frequently babysit a lot of my mother's friends kids so they can have a date night. On top of babysitting experience, I took four years of child development at my high school.I've been going to the elementary school for three years and have assisted in every grade level. I will ccomplete my teaching assistant at the end of this year before summer.
