I received my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Care / Education from Chattahoochee Technical College in March 2011. For the past 2 years I have been working at their Child Development Lab as a teacher aid, substitute, and aftercare coordinator. I floated between each classroom, one room 2 1/2 - 4 and the other room Pre K. I currently attend Kennesaw State University under the same major. I currently babysit various children and nanny for one little girl three afternoons per week. I pick her up from school and we do homework, bath, and dinner before her parents get home. While here I typically get asked to watch over a few of my other children in the cul-de-sac as they play outside. Other families that I sit for typically have two kids, one boy and one girl. All of my families have consisted of elementary children and under. My oldest child has recently entered the sixth grade. When babysitting, I try to do different activities with the children which vary from painting bread, which is edible, to making up dances and performances and video taping them for parents to add to their home videos. These are just a few activities to name, but the ones that my kids tend to like the most.

I worked in a child care center for two years working with Infant to school age children. I have experience caring for up to seven toddlers at one time when I worked in the toddler room. When I worked in the school age room and preschool room I would take the children to their swim lessons and t-ball lessons. I took a college class for child development preschool teacher. I do not have a degree in child development but may start to work towards a degree Spring 2013. My experience babysitting is much like the child care center, I would take the kids to their lessons and spent from 6am to 4pm with them three days of the week during the summer. I mainly babysat for family members and have watched from Infant to 8 years over night or a few days. I did work in a group home for minors and adults with disabilities.

My name is Maryana, and I grew up in a big Ukrainian family. I was 8th out of 9 children, therefore, I have been around kids pretty much all my life. I have been working as a nanny for almost 7 years. During this time I've mostly worked with newborns and toddles, and I absolutely love kids that age. I also have experience working with older kids. I believe that children should be raised in a loving, fun, and active environments. I am a very loving person and I love to give my love to the kids. Also, I strongly emphasize on learning and discipline. I always develop close relationship with the families that I work for, and stay in touch even after I stop working for them. When requested, I would be more that happy to provide their contact information. Right now I am helping my sister with her children, but could be available as soon as requested.

I have 5 years experience working in Professional Childcare. I have taken care of children from the ages of infancy to toddlers to preschool and upwards. I enjoy helping children along in their individual developmental stages of growth. The best part of taking care of children is the strong bond that can form over time. Being a special part of a child's growth a development is amazingly wonderful as a caregiver.

My past experience as a nanny has been very rewarding. I've really enjoyed getting to know all the familes I've worked for. Being a nanny has given me many opportunties to learn more about how other familes function and it has also helped me to see things in a another prespective.
