I have worked consistently as a professional nanny for over 18 years. I have worked various situations throughout the years from on call to permenant (3 to 7 years) per family! I have cared for newborn infants during the day as well as (over night duty) ie - cared for 6 week old preemies for two months earlier this year. I have also worked with a single mom as her long term afterschool nanny for over seven years. I have kept in close contact with the family! Ideally I am looking for a long term perm position where I can grow with the family and be someone the child can depend on and trust to be a reliable role model and friend! The last two positions I held were interim positions. I cared for a baby boy FT while parents were at work and while their current nanny was on leave. And late last year I worked a house manager position which included running errands, organization skills and transportation for the parent's son and daughter. There was also a lot of moral support for the little boy who was adjusting to the new baby. I gave him positive direction and also tutored him with his homework. Early last year, I worked with a family who wanted me to help them get through their baby daughter's first few months. She had some acid reflux. I used patience, love and assurance to help this sleep deprived family get through their days and to help the baby receive important rest. It was a rewarding experience for me and one I will never forget! I also have worked with a couple of families late last year and earlier this year who needed assistance with their infant/toddler until the grandmother came on board. Both fun experiences. In general you could say that I have been a loyal and dependable hard working nanny who has worked in a variety of circumstances and positions along the way. I mentor, love and educate the children in my care and if needed, I am also available to start a neighborhood music appreciation program for infants and toddlers. I have a lot of creative talents and a good deal of training and experience working with all age groups of children. RESUME UPON REQUEST!

I have two grown sons, ages 21 and 23. I first started with a family in Buckhead, and remained with them for six years. I was with their fist son since he was 3 months old, and the second child from birth. I can provide great reference. Since 2015 I cared for a three month old girl, which now is two, and the family has welcomed a baby brother to their family. I am still with the family and tend to both children and their needs. I most recently had the privilege of caring for a six year old girl since the summer of 2016. The mother's work schedule has changed and I am now looking for a new family. I can provide great references from all families and more. Please consider me when selecting your nanny.

I graduated college in 2003 and was a full time nanny for a family with triplets who were just under a year old when I started, until they started Kindergarten. My next job was working with twins who I started with when they were 3 months old and worked with them until they were 3.5. I come from a large family and have had a baby on my hip from a very young age. Throughout middle and high school I babysat for children of all ages. During college I was a summer nanny for a family with a set of triplet girls that were 2 1/2 when i started. My most recent position was with a family with just one child, who i started with at 3 months and is now 2 and 1/2. His mother is having a 2nd child in December and is planning to stay home

I have experience with care giving for both children and the elderly. I would love to help if I could. I believe that the child care workers should put the children and families that they work for first and that is my goal with everyone I help. I love to play and have fun but also impact and help at all ages. I enjoy reading and working with the children to learn and progress as they age. When I was 13 years old, I was allowed to take care of my little brother by myself. My brother was a premature baby and has cerebral palsy and ataxia hypotonia, which required physical and occupational therapy daily. I have experience with children with special needs and I am willing to learn additional skills if necessary. I have also cared for my cousins and have taken care of other children ranging from the age of 4 months old to 12 years old.

What are some common responsibilities for nannies in Norcross, GA?

As a parent, it’s natural for you to ask your nanny for a little extra help around the house. However, the boundaries for a nannies duties vary from person to person. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met. This includes things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active, that they have a healthy diet and a sanitary home. When tasks go beyond child care, for example scrubbing kitchen counters, folding laundry, gathering groceries, or teaching a language, you will likely need to provide additional compensation.

To start, it’s important you set expectations and are aligned on compensation from day one. This includes outlining vacation days, a protocol for sick days, and everything else you would want your own employer to cover. From here, spend time getting to know them. Take your nanny out one of Norcross’s great restaurants, learn about their childhood, and discuss your parenting philosophy. Finally, be sure to resolve conflicts as they arise. Open communication is crucial to ensuring a healthy long-term relationship.
