I have spent the past 10 years as a nanny or a mothers helper and have absolutely loved every family I have been a part of through the process. I have been nannying for my current family for over 5 years in Indianapolis and am sad to see it end, but so ready to be a Michigander again! The family I am currently with has 3 daughters (ages 7, 9 and 15) and I work for them full-time. The parents travel some what frequently, during which time I stay at the home 24/7 and take care of school drop off, pick up, extra curriculars, meals, etc. I also travel with the family on all vacations and we have a blast together! The previous family I nannied for was only short-term for a 3 month old little girl while her mother finished up teaching her school year. We had fun together for those 5 months - taking walks when the weather allowed with the family dog Beasley, enjoying tummy time, playing with our rattles, and lots of cooing. Previous to that family I started as a mothers aid to a family who had just welcomed quadruplets into their home. I started the day the first son came home from the hospital and stayed with this family until the quads 3rd birthday. I also spent 3 years working in the childrens department - tutoring, mentoring, leading Bible lessons and planning outtings for children who were residing at the shelter. It was a wonderful experience and I really value the experience there. Additionally I traveled to Haiti for two summers teaching English in a sort of day-camp held at a local orphanage and opened up to the community. I was in charge of planning lessons, games and crafts for kids ranging in age from 4-15. During nights and weekends I would help out in the orphanage with the babies and younger children. Again, this experience was one of the best in my life. On a more personal level, I am also the oldest of 5 children in my family. I started babysitting for my siblings around the age of 10 and for children in my neighborhood at the age of 12. I love hanging out and around kids, and would love it if you would consider me for your family!

I was a nanny for 2 children for 4 years. During the summer, I cooked their meals, cleaned, played with them, and took them wherever they needed to go (doctor's appointments, summer camps, etc.). During the school year, I picked them up after school, made them snacks, and helped them with their homework until their parents got home from work. When I began watching them, the girl was 4 and is now 8, and the boy was 8 and is now 12, so I have had experience with a wide range of ages. I also have babysat other children part-time around the same ages. I recently graduated from USI with a bachelors degree in art so I love doing creative activities with the kids. I also love spending time outdoors and staying active. While in school, I was on the swim team and gave swim lessons so I would be happy to teach your children, whatever level they are at. I currently work part-time in the mornings from Monday-Thursday so I would love a position where I could babysit in the afternoons/nights. I am also available most weekends. Please feel free to contact me if you are in need of a sitter during these times.

i've been a nanny for the past 25 and a half years. I also worked at a pre-school for 4 years. I've been with my current family for almost a year but I'm only working 1 day a week and I need more hours. My previous family I cared for pre mature twin girls from the time they came home from the hospital and added a baby brother 2years later. I cared for them for 3 1/2 years. I cared for a family for 2 years before them and accompanied them to Michigan when they moved for new jobs, to help them find a new nanny , I was there for 1week. I cared for another family with twins prior to them for 18 months and I accompanied them to Florida to find a new nanny I was there for 2weeks. The family before them I was with for 7 1/2 years. They were also twins. I started with them when they were just 10 days old. The job ended due to they started school full time.

My child care experience is through my time working at a Christian child care/preschool in Evansville, IN as a Substitute Preschool Teacher and through volunteering at a Christian preschool in Muncie, IN. I have worked with ages ranging from 18 weeks to 6 years old. As an infant/toddler caregiver I have changed diapers, toilet-trained toddlers, bottle fed and baby food fed infants. I have managed lunch and snack times for preschool-aged children, managed classroom behavioral issues while teaching communication, life and learning skills. I've also led preschool children in learning-based and creative-expression activities. My 10-year-old nephew has lived with my family his entire life and I have babysat for him since infancy. I have taught Vacation Bible School and through my classes at BSU, gained field experience at two different elementary schools in Muncie working with Kindergarten, 3rd Grade and 5th Grade students.

I was a nanny for a couple of families in the Chicago suburbs until I moved to Evansville, Indiana. I have my bachelor's in Psychology, but also majored in early childhood education, while teaching preschool part-time as a teacher's aide. I am technically teacher and director qualified at the daycare level. I've been babysitting since I was around 13 years old, and have a lot of experience with toddlers and preschoolers especially. Some think this is the most challenging age, but it's actually my favorite!
