Barbara C. - Seeking Work in Hammond

Full-time hours
6 yrs of experience

Hi there,
My name is Barbara! I am 21 yars old, living in Northwest Indiana.
I have 6+ years of child care experience, usually taking care of children aged from around 4 months old to the oldest being 13 years old. I work independently, but my previous work is verifiable through the families I’ve cared for. I have additional experience working with children on the autistic spectrum, as well as those with ADHD.
I value taking time to make educational interactions with children, such as reading with/to them, writing/coloring with them, and of course going over the traditional flash cards and other educational games. Continuing the educational tactics that the family has already started is a big deal to me, and I will always do my best to stick to family norms.
I appreciate having the opportunity to bring my love of art, reading, music, adventure, and exploration into the daily lives of the children I care for. I love to make the days fun, especially with parent-approved "field trips" to the parks, or museums, as well as other outdoor activities!
I would best describe myself as someone who is energetic, fun, patient, dependable, nurturing, adventurous, and most of all, caring.
I am capable of helping with errands, homework, tutoring, meal preparation, transportation, housekeeping, pet-care, last-minute situations, overnight stays, early childhood care such as diaper changing, bathing, travel and more. I am also open to caring for sick children, and have no problem with helping with any other specifics, with notice.
I do have a good amount of references, a solid resume, a clean background, reliable transportation and the extreme flexibility with my completely open availability. I do not smoke, drink, nor do drugs. In addition, I am also currently taking courses to become CPR and First Aid certified.
I thank you very much for reading my lengthy bio, and I hope to be in touch with you soon.
Kindly,
Barbara C
