I am a 22-year-old and I just graduated from Marymount University in May 2015! For the past few summers I have worked at a summer camp with kids between the ages of 5-12. I gained a lot of experience with kids from different backgrounds and it was a lot of fun! I am also an aunt to a beautiful 7-year-old girl and I helped my sister raise her. I have also baby babysat for a baby boy since he was 1 (he is now 4!). I currently work for an after school program as a lead teacher for grades k-5. I am CPR/AED certified and I have common knowledge in first aid. I enjoy playing with kids whether it be board games, art projects, or even taking trips around the neighborhood with them. I am also willing to cook for them and do light housework. Patience is one of my biggest qualities and I always try to be very reasonable with the kids. I also have my rules so I like to keep an even balance between the "sister" role of a babysitter, and a responsible babysitter. I will do my best to keep the kids entertained, but also keep them in a safe environment which I believe is the role of a babysitter. I am willing to work out a plan around my work schedule, and if you have any questions feel free to ask!

I have been a full-time nanny for the past 3 years for children, ages 1-5. Before being a nanny, I worked in a summer camp and daycare setting. I worked in the summers in the daycare with infants to preschool aged children. I have acquired a lot of knowledge on how to work with children from working in different settings. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology. Having a Sociology degree and studying families has given me knowledge of different stages of development for children as well as how to help families. I love to be outside, and try new things and have a passion for baking, cooking and arts and crafts. I love to keep children active by going to places such as the libraries, parks, museums and sing-a-longs. I have experience with working with groups of children as well as one-on-one. I have learned over the past few years from working as a nanny, great activities for children in Boston and surrounding areas. I hope to hear from you and would love to get to know you and your family!

What are some common responsibilities for nannies in Somerville, TN?

As a parent, it’s natural for you to ask your nanny for a little extra help around the house. However, the boundaries for a nannies duties vary from person to person. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met. This includes things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active, that they have a healthy diet and a sanitary home.
