I have worked for over 7 years at an accredited daycare, as an experienced aide, working in all rooms and with all ages. When I started there, I worked in the toddler room, with kids ages 15-24 months. Since the number of children in the center varies from day to day, I had to be comfortable working in all rooms. I have worked with all ages, from 6 weeks to 13 years old. I also nannied for 2 children part time, ages 3 and 7 for nearly 2 years. My duties included: picking up the youngest from daycare, and picking up the older boy from the bus stop. Bringing the children home, feeding them a snack, and playing with them until their parents returned home. Lots of outside time, books, puzzles, and lots of pretending! :) On activity days, I had to get the kids ready to go to gymnastics/soccer/piano and occassionally drive them if parents were working late or traveling. I loved it, but unfortunately they moved due to a job transfer. For the last 8 months I have been nannying for a local family with 4 children ages 5-11. My duties include getting them ready for school and getting the two oldest off to the bus and staying home with the other two. We go on outings, do crafts, reading, worksheets, etc. Lots of fun! I love my job, however they will be moving soon. :(

My childcare experience is quite the variety. I started with two different babysitting jobs around the age of fourteen. One job was three afternoons a week watching a 9 month old and the other one was basically just weekends watching a 2 year old little girl and her 1 year old twin siblings. Around the age of 18 I got a full time nanny job for a family of seven kids. When I started the oldest was 13 and the youngest was 1. I worked for them fulltime for just over three years doing everything from Dr.'s visits to target runs and of course alot of playtime. My latest nanny position has been a live in position that I have been at for three years. At the start of this position the age range of the three kiddos was newborn to 13 years old.

I started my paid childcare experience working at a Montessori school in 2007 when i was just 17 years old. I continued to work at the Montessori until about early 2010 when i got my first nanny job for one child 3 months old and occasionally after school her siblings who were 10 and almost 13. I worked for this family for 2 years until i started with another family of four caring for their 2 month old daughter and 2.5 year old son when daycare is closed and sick days. I worked with this family up until the boy was 3 and the opening at the daycare for the younger one was available. I also traveled with this family to Las Vegas for business just one month after I started. I started then working at a tanning salon and a New Horizon full time in the infant room until i realized a daycare center wasn't what i wanted to do, so i started looking for a nanny job which i found in June 2013 working with two premature twin boys that were born about 3 months early. One child had a feeding tube for about a year and I was trained for that by the parents. I am currently working for them still until June 2015 when my contract is up.

Hello :) My name is Alexis, I am 19 years old and currently living in Lakeville Minnesota. I have a lot of experience with children. I have been a babysitter and nanny for many years now. I also have experience with children inside a classroom. I have taken many child development classes and have had the opportunity to work in a preschool and also in a third grade class. I love children and would love to become an elementary school teacher someday. I love animals, and I am also able to prepare healthy meals and take care of any cleaning that is needed. I will also always have an available vehicle. As a babysitter I like to keep the kids active and busy. For example, if it is a nice day outside, I like to get the kids outside to get fresh air and some healthy exercise. If we are unable to go outside there are many creative and fun activities that can take place inside. For instance arts and crafts is one of my favorite things to do. It allows children to learn how to express themselves in new ways. I can also help children with school work if it is needed.
