I was raised as the eldest in a homeschool family of 6 children. Being at least 11 years older than my four youngest siblings, I received ample training in caring for wee ones, and loved doing so. To this day, I still "mother" them all, to the extent they'll allow, that is! Between the ages of 13 and 17, I was also active in teaching Character Seminars for children 6-12 in age, traveling to various cities in the US. During my early twenties, I worked fulltime teaching beginning violin and piano to numerous children, ages 7 to 16. In 2009/10, I worked fulltime in the office of a church preschool, with the only actual contact with the children being to occasionally sit with the sick ones while waiting on parents. This job experience led me to make a change into full-time preschool teaching, working with ages 18 months to 2 years. I completed four years, employed by one of the largest church preschool/kindergartens in the greater Birmingham area. I then moved to Whitefish, Montana in 2013, where I was employed as a fulltime nanny, caring for children ages 3-8. When the children began school, I started teaching preschool again at a local Christian school. However, I have found that I really miss the one-on-one time I enjoyed with children as a Nanny, and would like to return to that work. I look forward to the next precious children I'll have the honor and privilege of caring for. I hope we'll have the opportunity to talk about your needs and desires for your child(ren).

I am the oldest of 8 children and was homeschooled, so I helped out with my siblings all day on a daily basis. I have also been babysitting as a side job since I was 14. I have been a fill-in nanny for 2 families in my area when their regular nannies have gone on vacation. I have cared for up to 6 children at a time, and up to 3 children that were all under the ages of 4 at one time. I have done all household and childcare duties including laundry, cooking, cleaning, animal care, picking children up from school, helping with homework, and bathing. I have taken the Red Cross babysitting classes and I am First Aid and Adult/Child CPR certified.

I most recently was a nanny for a family of 3 in Bozeman, MT. The youngest is a new born boy and the other two girls are 7months and 2years old. My duties included keeping the house up (I have over 7 years of professional cleaning experience), getting the kids fed, read to, and down for naps. I am still very close with this family even though I am no longer their consistent nanny! I have been a live in a nanny for a family of 4 in Portland, Oregon while the youngest girl (age 4 at the time) went through chemotherapy for bone cancer. This gave me heavier responsibilities while caring for her (medicines needed to be given at certain times multiple times a day and I had to use a catheter on her every 4 hours). I am from a family of seven children and have always had a motherly relationship with my younger siblings and am use to being in a large, crazy family!
