I have a very broad spectrum of experience in caring for children. I’ve cared for some of the same families for many years, nannied for the entirety of two summers in college, and done extended overnight care for four different families. I have experience with infant care (as young as 3 months), all the way up through preteen care. In my past nannying experience (where I was with the children during the day Mon-Fri), I had the opportunity to plan a lot of activities. It was my responsibility to prepare meals for them, and clean up after them in their kitchen and play areas. I also have some experience with helping children read and write at preschool/kindergarten age. With older children I have experience in aiding them with homework/school projects, and taking them to after school activities and sporting events. Any questions about my history are welcome, and references can be provided upon request. I would love to hear from you! Side note: I am incredibly allergic to cats! I love cats, but unfortunately I cannot work in homes where the cats live indoors. Outdoor cats are not an issue. Thanks!

I worked as a nanny in Laguna Beach, California for about 4 months in 2010. I cared for 3 beautiful girls ages 3 months, 2 years and 3 years old. I provided morning, afternoon and evening care for the children. I also prepared entertaining activities for the girls such as going to the park and taking walks. I served meals, maintained safety and bathed/dressed girls. I also assisted the family in maintaining household organization. It was such a great and rewarding experience! I LOVE spending time with kids and trying to make our time together as fun as possible. I enjoy using play as an opportunity for enjoyment but also a time for learning. I encourage children to be as active as possible which is why I like to enjoy our time outdoors as much as we can. I like going for walks or taking the children to the park if available. Discipline is based upon the discretion of the parents I was a nursing major for 3 years and I worked as a nurse assistant in a newborn nursery and pediatric hospital floor for 3 years so I have a lot of medical background as well.

I began babysitting for my neighbor's children at age 7, and since then have been a favorite among parents and kids alike since! I am an adamant believer that children should be given loving, personal attention and encouraged to play and imagine, rather than spending time watching television. I believe that time spent outdoors makes any meal taste better, that fruits and veggies make children grow strong, and that bedtime stories make this world a wonderful place. Let me help you make your life a little easier!

For the past six years I taught pre-school (Infant to Pre-K), but now I am a certified teacher at an xx school. I graduated from the University of NC-Greensboro where I majored in Sociology and minored in Human Development and Family Studies. I am also currently obtaining my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education. I have been working in childcare centers for the past six years and I have been babysitting privately for the past five. The largest private family I have babysat for had five children between the ages of infancy through 14-years-old. I have watched up to 24 children myself during some Sunday church services, though. I like to be very active while babysitting. This will include sports, walks, park visits or just a lot of outdoor playtime. While working in childcare, I have had the opportunity to work with many different types of curriculum and I understand the power of play. I hope I may be the right fit for your family.

As a parent, it’s natural for you to ask your nanny for a little extra help around the house. However, the boundaries for a nannies duties vary from person to person. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met. This includes things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active, that they have a healthy diet and a sanitary home.
