I have been working with children for 11 years. My very first job was babysitting my neighbors kids when I was 14. It started out with little hours every couple of weeks and then turned into me being their regular babysitter often more than once a week. The kids were 2 and 3 when I started and I had the privilege of watching them grow up into handsome intelligent boys. I am still in contact with the family so I get updated news and pictures. It was through this experience that I discovered my love of caring for people. I went to college and became a Certified Nursing Assistant. Through that I experienced working in a nursing home, taking care of a special needs 3 year old and her 2 year old brother, an overnight hospital job, and lastly hospice care. After some time in hospice I realized that though I loved being a CNA, children was my true calling. I joined xx and starting getting a lot of gigs. Most jobs I got were one or two nights of work for date nights, but I've also done very early mornings and some overnights. I have worked with infants up to 13+ doing things such as changing diapers, bath time, dinner, bedtime routines, running around and actively engaging the children through books, arts and crafts, and practice with numbers and the alphabet. Soon after I landed my first real nanny job. I cared for two girls, aged 1 and 2. I watched them for almost two years until they moved away.

I have a degree in Human Development and Family studies. I also have my own child and have learned a ton through that already. I am looking for some playmates for my daughter and am interested in watching a few children a few days a week. In the past I worked as a summer camp counselor at a church camp in Illinois for 4 summers. It would be a 5-6 kid to 1 counselor ratio. We organized many activities for the children and did alot of nature adventures. The children would range in ages of 5 to 13 years old. I often worked with children who had mental disabilities and found it to be an enlightening experience. On top of being a camp counselor I did babysitting for 6 years and worked with many different families. I currently spend time in the Eccles Lab School at SLCC on a weekly basis working with the Preschoolers. I also currently Nanny for a family in SLC who's child is going to be living with the mother for the summer. I am studying Early Childhood Education College and my goal is to provide quality care for your children.

When I was 8 years old my bundle of joy baby brother was brought into this world. The family situation I was in I ended up caring for him until I moved out. Taking care of infants is not a problem at all and I have since taken care of him, he is now 13. I have also taken care of a four year old and a five year old for two summers. I was a live-in nanny for those two summers. I have also babysat for many family friends with children in all ages.
