I have worked as a nanny for over 12 years with multiple families providing care for new born, toddlers and older children.I am extremely dependable, deeply loving and caring, trustworthy, organized, have an extraordinary gift bonding with children, a comprehensive understanding of early childhood development as I was trained in this field before, a good communicator, ability to prepare age appropriate activities to cater to the physical, social and cognitive development of individuals, background in elementary school teaching for 14 years, CPR and First Aid certified and soon to be certified as a baby nurse. I have extensive experience taking care of infants as young as six weeks old. All of the families that I have worked for were first-time moms, who have always complimented me for my responsible, mature, and professional way of caring for the young children. With that much experience and autonomy, I was able to help these first-time moms to navigate the early stages.I had the opportunity to sleep train infants within a week and had them sleeping 12 hours through the night without a peep. I have also worked with multiple children, hence, my ability to multi-task.I have very good managerial skills, very consistent wth discipline and respect the values and beliefs parents have set for raising their children, and I try to be very flexible in my childcare approach to those. I enjoy taking children to doctors appointments, playgrounds, and library. I excel at organizing play dates, great at preparing nutritional meals from pureed food to cooked food and will work with parents to take their child on whatever food journey they want to take their child on, so as to develop their taste boards. I also do children's laundry, keep their toys neat and organized as well as their play areas and bedroom, I enjoy reading to them, teaching them colors, numbers, arts, crafts, helping with homework, taking them to scheduled activities, giving them baths and I also do light housework. I love children and enjoy their company immensely and nothing is more rewarding knowing that I am an integral part of their development.I believe that with my experience and skills, I can and will be a perfect match for your family.I have several references who can vouch for my loving nature. Sincerely Irene

I love the satisfaction I feel when I know I've made a child smile, or had helped them to have had a great day. I'm laid back and easy to talk to, and I love being silly and creative. I think I'm very responsible, as well as reliable. A good enough mixture of personality and character to bring a child a positive experience. I like being in a warm loving environment and I hope to be only an addition of comfort and security to you and your family.
Natasha B. - Seeking Work in Brooklyn

Hello! My name is Natasha and I'm looking for a long term (2 yrs. at least) position with a lovely easy going family. I have 3 years of solid nanny experience working for the same family caring for their now 3-year-old daughter. Upon arrival in October 2012 she was an infant of 3 months old, now she's a "big girl" at age 3. This was my first position as a nanny and I'm happy to say it lasted 3 wonderful (and educational) years! As a caregiver I'm friendly, fun, and full of "silliness" but at the same time I know when to be firm. I consider myself the attentive type of nanny, I see something that needs to be done I simply do it! Communication is the most important to me as I would like to feel comfortable knowing that I can approach either mom or dad about any problems that may pop up during the day or make positive suggestions regarding the children. I can honestly say that I'm a mature, responsible, trustworthy nanny who is very motivated, energetic, and an excellent communicator with both parents and children. There are 2 principles I personally live by as a nanny: 1) Always treat the children of others as if they are my own! 2) I am here to work with you not for you! My care for your children will consist of all infant care duties and developmental play for infants 3 months++. School pick up and homework help. Snack and meal preparations, setting up play dates and fun times outdoors. I prefer to prep the weeks activities beforehand so there's very little room for boredom. Arts and crafts is an excellent way to keep them busy while stimulating creativity at once, thank goodness for Pinterest I tell ya!! You can also guarantee there will be lots of reading, ABC's, 123's and educational practice play such as; writing, simple spelling, early math, item & word recognition. I'd also be willing to help out with the children's laundry and organization of their rooms, as well as running small errands if needed. If there's ever a need for over time, date night, or weekend care I'm open to that as well, with prior notice of course! Infants, toddlers, and elementary school age children, 2 children and friendly pets are all welcomed! I do NOT drive. English is my primary & only language! I am indeed a legal citizen.

Hi,my name is Esena and I’m 29 years old. I grew up in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina. During my studies I often babysat in my neighborhood. All my life I wanted to travel. Well, I took opportunity and came to America in June 2012, as an Au pair. I worked for an amazing family in Atlanta Georgia. I took care of 2 amazing kids, girl 2 and boy 2 years old. I stayed for a 2 year in this family and they made me feel like part of it God knows how much I love them! Now I move in Brooklyn NYC and I started school here. I have classes on weekends so that’s will not mess my week schedule. Monday – Friday Morning: I would get up and prepare breakfast for kids (eggs, cereal, pancakes, fruit with cheese next to it, or something else, depends what their parents want me to prepare for them), help them with getting ready for school, prepare their lunch boxes, and drive them to school. I was taking some classes while they were in school. Next, I would return home and do the laundry and set up their beds, sometimes I would have them help me with organizing the toys. Afternoon: I would pick them up from school give them healthy snacks, and bring them home, or we would stay for a little bit at the playground, or kid zone so they would be able to play for a little bit before we get home. We were always doing something interesting, playing games together, doing kids projects, having play dates with other kids, etc. Evening: I would prepare dinner for kids. Sit with them while they are eating, and help them if they need one. Later on I would give them a bath, they would brush their teeth and put them in bed, sometimes their parents were doing that. Also, I was bringing them to their activities during the week, such as piano lessons, football, swimming , etc. As I said, I worked for this family 2 year, than I move in Brooklyn. We are still in touch, celebrating holidays together, having dinner together, celebrating birthdays and doing many other things together They r my American family. Well, what can I say about me I've always enjoyed children, being part of their lives & having opportunity to teach. My pleasures are reading them books & encouraging them to read. Love to do crafts with them and other stuff, just want them to be happy !!! I also love to cook!!!

We’re looking for a family who wants to nanny share but is willing to drop off at our house. We are able to start nanny sharing Aug.6. Our nanny cares for our son (3 months) daily, and picks up our daughter from school and supports with her in the afternoons. We have intense work schedules so don’t want to drop off at another house but would be willing to host another infant. We have double strollers, toys, etc due to our current kids. Our nanny takes our son out to a lot of activities and maintains an active day with him, including taking him for walks, taking him to our backyard, and taking him to sing-alongs. She speaks fluent Spanish and is speaking in Spanish to our son.

What are some common responsibilities for nannies in Brooklyn, MS?

As a parent, it’s natural for you to ask your nanny for a little extra help around the house. However, the boundaries for a nannies duties vary from person to person. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met. This includes things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active, that they have a healthy diet and a sanitary home. When tasks go beyond child care, for example scrubbing kitchen counters, folding laundry, gathering groceries, or teaching a language, you will likely need to provide additional compensation.

This includes outlining vacation days, a protocol for sick days, and everything else you would want your own employer to cover. From here, spend time getting to know them. Take your nanny out one of Brooklyn’s great restaurants, learn about their childhood, and discuss your parenting philosophy. Finally, be sure to resolve conflicts as they arise. Open communication is crucial to ensuring a healthy long-term relationship.
