As the oldest in a large close knit family, I had always known I wanted to be in the childcare profession. Though teaching is always a wonderful prospect, I personally prefer working in a close family unit. It is wonderful to get to know all members of the family, not only the child! As such, at 19 I decided to look into full time nannying positions. I found a wonderful family, not too far from my childhood home, with a two year old daughter. Both parents and I got along wonderfully. Although a divorced couple, the dynamic worked for us and I was with the family until she had grown into a beautiful, young woman at 9 years old. I cannot describe the fulfillment of having an impact on a child's life, how honoring it is for a family to let you teach their child to read, swim, help them cope with temper tantrum, place them in bed and read bed time stories. To help them discover the world and watch their eyes light up each time.

I love working with children and have been since I was 12. I have had many past babysitting and Nanny positions. Most of which have lasted more then 7 months. I have two goddaughters , one which I took care of till she was 1 yrs old.Her mother is one of my best friends and when she had Nia she went into a depression and couldn't handle the baby. My last FT Nanny position ended because the mother was having her 3rd child and became a stay at home mom and was planing to move to Pa. I was with them for a yr , I took care of her infant and toddler full time. My last PT position was with a 4 month old and a 2 yr old , which then turned into FT , I was with them for 7 months. I have previous experience working as a teachers assistant in a daycare as well.

I have cared for numerous different families of varying ages. I have have watched children from infant to the age of 13+. I was a summer nanny for a family with twin boys of 4 and a sister of 12. One of the twins had some special needs and behavioral issues which helped to build a positive learning experience for me with new challenges every day. I have worked in a day care and have, on many occasions, looked after my new infant God daughter (who is amazing!)I have an Associates Degree in Human Services.
