Dear future host family,
my name is Minara .I am 27 years old and I was born in Russia. Right now, I live in Manhattan.
I already pass my driving test in New Jersey. That´s mean I don´t need to do it again in another States.
Before I came to NYC I lived 4 years in Germany and studied Computer Science at a University in Germany.I also lived in Baku, Azerbaijan to study Philology.
Besides studying in Germany , I babysited three beautiful little girls (Paula is 3 years, Lara is 4 years and Lina is 5 years old) and a young, very talented boy named Max (2 years) two days a week. My duties included: cooking for the children, preparing school lunch, taking the children to kindergarten in the morning and picking them up in the afternoon. Also, I liked to take them to the grocery store, to the pool and the playground.
Before I decided to study at a German University, I worked as an Au Pair for an American family in Germany for a year (August 2014 to August 2015). The family has a wonderful handsome boy who was about 18 months when I arrived. It was an overall a very positive experience for me. I learned so much about childcare from this year and knew I had a passion for it.
My tasks were minor household tasks, like doing the boy`s laundry, setting the table for family dinners, getting groceries and keeping my room and the little boy`s room clean. Also, I often cooked and baked with the little boy, taught him some Russian and helped to improve his German. I found various activities that would help him improve languages, like counting food in Russian and reading books in Russian. His favorite was "Little Red Riding Hood". My old host family had come up with a good plan to teach the boy English, German and Russian and incorporate all three languages into his daily life. My host dad spoke only English with him, my host mom spoke German and I spoke Russian with him. He was really smart and picked up on all three languages very fast. There is nothing that I love more in this world than experiencing a new culture and there is nothing that I enjoy more than taking care of children and teaching them about my language and culture. I would love to teach you and your children some Russian and tell them about my culture as well.
My family back at home is very supportive of my travels and studies abroad. My parents are wonderful and have shaped me into the person I am today! I come from a big family. I am the oldest child out of five children. I have four younger brothers whom I love very much.
I moved out of my parents` house when I was 19 years old. I talk to my family usually via Skype or WhatsApp to keep in touch. My family is a very important part of my life and I can do lots of great things with them.
I have a nephew who has special needs and attends a school for special needs school for children. When I was still living at home, spent a lot of time with him and I loved every minute of it.
When I came to Germany, I volunteered at a hospital for one year. It was a great life experience and I learned a lot about Diabetes, Cancer, Sclerosis, Anorexia and much more during this time.
Now, I would like to tell you a little more about my personality.
I adore pets! My current host family has a dog named Sammy and a goldfish named Lima. Animals are beautiful creatures and I love the working with them as well. I am a lover of many things, including sports, fitness, outdoors, dance, adventure, arts, animals, and especially people! I like cooking and trying new recipes. I would love to cook for your little ones and your family.
I am a dedicated, strong woman, passionate in health care and traveling. I like to travel and I have seen many countries. I am open to learning and growing.
One of my hobbies is learning languages. My native language I Russian. At the University in Azerbaijan, I learned many languages including German and English. I can also speak Dagestanish, Aserbaijani, Turkish and a little French. I am very interested in learning Spanish and Italian as well.
I love spending time with children and working with children fills my heart with joy. Doing this in another country, gives me the opportunity to improve my language skills, grow as a person and learn and explore new countries and their cultures.
In Germany, I decided to get my German driver`s license.Germans have a very complex set of rules for driving and I feeel very comfortable driving shift gear cars. I have experiences in driving under different conditions, like rain and at night.
I would be more than happy to find a great host family, to become a part of their family and create unforgettable memories together that I can treasure for the rest of my life.
Hope to hear from you soon!
With best regards,
