Hi, my name is Fayruz, ,my native language is spanish, and I live in Astoria which is 5 minutes away from the city. I am USA resident ,I am currently studying english and in august I will start my nurse program. I used to work with 2 families in uptown and downtown, with the family in downtown Tribeca I worked for them almost 3 years , they have 3 kids : twins which just turn 4 and a 5 years old girl . The family who lives in uptown have 4 kids.... 2 of them are twins and i was in charge just of them ( most of my experience its been taking care of twins) , I start when they were 9 months , now they are almost 14 months, the experience to work with them, it’s been wonderful and I feel that I developed a lot of maternal skills, patient, creativity, and responsibility with the kids learning process. I learn a lot with this job, like teach them how to get the bottle by herself, help them to hold herself and later how to walk, and also listen them talk Spanish. I like to do activities inside and outside. We go to the park, and some music and cooking classes; at home we sometimes make playdates and arts and craft activities. Im also willing to make their laundry , snacks, and special food for babys if you needed... About me: I really like to work with kids, I love to help and know that the kids that I take care of are in a nice a happy environment, I’m not only enjoy taking care of them, I enjoy also teaching them, educating them with manners, and stimulated them in positive aspects (creativity, good communication skills, self steam, being bilingual) I have 3 references which I will provide as soon as we meet , Hope to meet you soon, Thank you!

My name is Astrid. I am 28 years old and I'm from El Salvador. I had the chance to live in Germany for two years and in there, I took care a of a lovely 1-year-old boy. After my stay in Germany, I moved to the US and lived for four years with a wonderful single mother and her 9-year-old twins in New Jersey. They became like a family to me. Currently, I am living in Queens and I am studying foreign languages such as English, German, and Italian. Due to the flexibility of my classes, my studies will not interfere with my potential job schedule. Since I am fluent in Spanish, English, German and starting to study Italian, I like to teach kids some of the things I am learning. In addition, I am very enthusiastic and full of great energy. I find great joy in playing with them and joining them in the playground. I am looking for a full-time position and willing to start working at the beginning of June. I would love to hear from you :)

What are some common responsibilities for nannies in Queens, NY?

As a parent, it’s natural for you to ask your nanny for a little extra help around the house. However, the boundaries for a nannies duties vary from person to person. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met. This includes things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active, that they have a healthy diet and a sanitary home. When tasks go beyond child care, for example scrubbing kitchen counters, folding laundry, gathering groceries, or teaching a language, you will likely need to provide additional compensation.

How can I ensure I have a great relationship with my nanny?

To start, it’s important you set expectations and are aligned on compensation from day one. This includes outlining vacation days, a protocol for sick days, and everything else you would want your own employer to cover. From here, spend time getting to know them. Take your nanny out one of Queens’s great restaurants, learn about their childhood, and discuss your parenting philosophy. Finally, be sure to resolve conflicts as they arise. Open communication is crucial to ensuring a healthy long-term relationship.
