I have 10 plus years years of experience with kids. I believe the one thing that a care giver needs above all else is organization and patience. Children need to have a sense of stability, but also need to be allowed to have a bit of freedom in their own actions as well. A successful caregiver needs to be able to give individual attention to each child, and then also as a group, making each child feels special. Naturally, every family is different and every child reacts differently- so I believe friendship is key. Gaining the trust and respect of the child is most important... If a child doesn't respect you, they rarely listen to you. I don't believe in anger, violence, or threats to force children into behaving, most children simply desire to feel like that you respect them. Individual, one on one attention that makes them feel that you understand them. To me, that's the trick in a multiple child household.I have a passion for children. I have been working with children since I was 13 and I do not see myself anywhere else. My creativity always enhances any activities and crafts that I come up with. I am looking for a family to give 1 year commitment to them would be great,.I have always known that any career that I chose would involve children. Being a Nanny allows me to not only be surrounded by children but to use my skills and experience to help develop into happy and healthy kids.

For me, it started when I was 7 years old and my mom gave birth to her 6th child. I would help her care for him and take care of him at night whenever I could. That lead to me babysitting as a teen, and no child was too dificult for me, I enjoyed rambunctious boys and playing games from, don't step on the lava( floor) to tea parties and dressing like princess'. Towards the end of my high school years I starting doing more nanny jobs. I had a family with 4 foster children that needed help taking care of them while they prepared to go to Mexico every year. I would take care of them for several weeks at time. Helping out with school homework, getting their meals prepared for them and putting them to bed. Whatever they needed me to do I would do. They had a son who lived in Dayton, and they hired me for a month to watch their 3 year old, and 1 year old and newborn. I was the live in nanny and helped them make meals, clean the house, and run errands. The last family I helped part time was for a working mother of a newborn and I worked part time for her for around 1 year. I currently just do babysitting on and off right now.

Simply stated, I love to care for and spend time with young children. My babysitting career began at the young age of fourteen. I continued to babysit throughout high school and college for families that I have become extremely close with over the years, for families that I absolutely loved spending time with both the children and parents. During college, I was presented with the opportunity to nanny for a family with two children, ages four and seven. Daily nanny responsibilities included preparing meals, driving the kids to summer/after-school sports and activities, bathing and bedtime routines, occasionally picking the children up from school, and helping with homework. From 2012-2015, I was a full-time nanny for a wonderful family in Dublin. Currently, I am a preschool teacher for the Diocese of Columbus. Overall, my babysitting, nannying, and teaching experiences have filled my life with such sweet young children that I enjoyed taking care of over the years.

I have spent a lot of time with kids and I plan on working with kids once I graduate too. I am a Human Development and Family Sciences major and I am also minoring in Education and Psychology. I am planning on being an elementary school guidance counselor. I started out as a mommy's helper and then babysat starting in 9th grade. I have been babystting/nannying since then. I am a sophomore at Ohio State right now. Throughout high school I tutored kids, worked at my school's summer camps, and was a part of my school's study buddy program with younger kids. Here at OSU I also am a part of a cub called College Mentors for Kids where I am a buddy for a 4th grade girl. Every week she comes to campus and we do activities together on campus. I love the program and I am beyond happy I joined. Last year the one thing that was missing from my new college life was being around kids. Even still, I miss babysitting while I am here!

Caring for children has always come natural to me. I am new to being a Nanny, but definitely have the qualifications, knowledge and heart to care for children of any age. I have provided in home child care on and off for numerous families throughout the years. I did this along with working a full time job as a Program Director for an agency that provides residential care for people with disabilities. I am fun, compassionate, patient and caring. I love caring for people whether it's for children or for adults that need care. I have 3 children myself ages 18, 11 and 10. I would like to say that I have experience caring for children of all ages simply because I've raised my own. I think I've done a pretty good job ;)
