I am a mother to 3 fun, happy kids, ages 13, 12 and 9. I was a stay at home mom until my youngest was 7. Then, I started working at a preschool/daycare part time, and also was a part time nanny to two wonderful boys, who have become family to me.

I have an associates degree and went to culinary school, so I know my way around a kitchen! Also, before I had children, I worked as a traveling cake decorator for 7 years. I have a creative eye and mind, and enjoy exploring arts and nature. I am very organized and adjust calmly and well to any changes or conflicts that come our way. I am patient and have a generous heart. I believe children need and dererve to be heard, and I have a way of identifying with them, and easing their minds. I believe that when you identify with a child on their level, you can guide then to learn how to resolve problems on their own, and also create an open dialogue, where they feel safe to ask questions, and feel pride in their decision making. The most important thing any child needs to feel is love and safety, and that is what I strive to provide to them.

I have experience with all ages, and I honestly enjoy each stage of development! I also have a lot of experience with autism and ADHD, as my nephews have those diagnoses, and I am very involved in their lives.

As a stay at home mom, I was very active in volunteering in my community and schools. I felt it was very important to for children to see and understand the plight of the less fortunate, and also to show them that there are always ways they can work to improve their environment, and the benefits that community service can bring to all.

I always want what is best for the individual child, and realize that that is very different, based on their own personality. I am a very good communicator, and wish to work very closely with the parents of the children, so we are always on the same page in order to best address needs or solve any issues.

I keep a clean home, and am a little obsessed with laundry! So, with me there, you will never need to fold, sort or put away again! (If you dont want to!). Also, I can make healthy meals, run errands, get children to appointments or activities (clean driving record, and reliable transportation). I am CPR certified, and have all of my child abuse clearences and criminal background checks complete.

Ok, I guess that is me in a nutshell! I hope to hear from you, and look forward to being part of your family!

I was a private nanny for a family of 3. I had the girls from morning til bed. I also taught the two older girls ages 3 and 5 to ride horses. I had the 18 month old talking and helped her learn to speak. the 3 year old and I did something different everyday. We did science experiments, did work books to teach her to read, numbers and colors, as well as played games, and had Fun Food Friday.
