Once upon a time, an 18 year old girl was looking for her first job when she happened to come across a part-time daycare position opening. Sure enough she decided to apply and she was hired, with only minimal experience working with children. Little did this 18 year old girl know, that one day she would go off into this world to become a "big sister", a mentor, a caregiver, an educator, and a healer to so many children. My name is Rebekah. I am 22 years old, and a recent college graduate. I graduated with my bachelor of science in elementary education. Throughout my years since my first job, I have had truly amazing, and blessed job opportunities being a nanny for wonderful families. My first job started with 3 amazing kids who dealt with the hardships of divorced parents. Little did I know just how significant I would become in their lives. I was thrown into a "mommy" situation that would change my life forever. I spent almost every day with the kids, even overnight for days at a time. With them, I learned how to manage my time very wisely to ensure the kids were completely ready and got to school on time, cook, clean, help with homework, take to soccer practice, doctor appointments, and so much more. Although the choice to go off to college forced me to have to leave this family, to this day, I still remain in close contact with them and have created an amazing relationship with each of the children and their parents. When I got to college, I was fortunate enough to meet another family that I would soon be a part-time nanny for. This family had 4 kids, ages 6mo, 2, 4, and 5. Watching them provided me with the skills and knowledge of taking care of younger children...a lot at a time! I am a supporter, a mentor, a listener, a big sister, a helper, an educator, and so much more. I have a tremendous amount of experience, and I absolutely love being a nanny. I love the nature of the job, being able to have a relationship with the family and the children, all while helping guide the children to become wonderful adults one day. I live a very healthy, and active lifestyle. I played collegiate soccer for 3 years, and have been playing sports at the competitive level since I was 12. I love to be outdoors and enjoy the sun, and fresh air and am always encouraging of outdoor activities for children.

Mother of two grown and gone. While I parented in a more progressive manner, I would do it even more progressively now. Children are the future and should be treated accordingly. Too many see them as a <less than human due to size and needs. I’m the one who knows better than most, they are more like priceless jewels in need of the best care and attention. They are also little mad scientists trying to learn everything all at once. Their frustrations with us, require oodles of patience, understanding, and love.

Teaching our children to think and encouraging better decision making than those who came before us, is really important and should be taught by those they love and trust most. I actually write write about parenting/children/behaviors on a Q&A site. If you really wish to know me, you’ll get to know me pretty well there. My children have decided not to have kids, and I respect their choices.

However, I have a great desire to have children in my life and I know a position of this nature, will satisfy my maternal nature, as well as, be of actual use to others who have a need for a mature, responsible lady who loves children and would not only protect them with her life, but ensure they each Understood who it is they are. I am laid back, confident, and happy. I have no obligations and do not do drama. I don’t fuss, cuss, or have addictions of any kind. I can pass a bkgrnd ck and have a clean driving record.

I’m not interested in dating at my age and am pretty certain, I never will be again. I do have a specific parenting/mentor style I’m happy to share with the right family. I’d be in it for the long haul, so a long term situation is best. No ties makes me mobile, so even moving with a family is a consideration if needed.

I am spiritual, but not Religious or assiciated with any religion. I practice gratitude in all things. I’m grateful for the good, and while no one wants to be grateful for uncomfortable situations, there are great lessons to be learned from each, so I’m also grateful for situations deemed as bad.( I’d like to keep those to minimum though. LOL. )

Diet, exercise, and emotional well being all go hand in hand. One does not outweight the other. It’s a balancing act requiring conscious attention be paid to each part of our being. Of course, there is always room to wiggle in the first two, but never concerning our feel.
