My professional childcare experience has been long and richly rewarding. Starting in 1986 in Willis,TX I became a live/in Group Home/Emergency Shelter Relief House Parent. That meant, when the main parent was off-duty I took charge and ran whatever building I was over-seeing at the moment. Under me, were two other staff members and twelve children, ages ranging from six-weeks to sixteen years old (male and female). In the Shelter, we did not have infants. They had to be at least ten years of age because we housed juvenile offenders. In the Emergency Shelter, my eyes were never shut!!!!! I had many opportunities to act as a "parental role model," cooked,cleaned, transported, tutored when I understood their work, shopped for the household, did laundry, kept their schedules in tact, made their school counseling meetings and also made it to our staff meetings on time. It was a must. It was hectic at times doing for twelve children constantly and making sure that all the "i's" were dotted and "t's" were crossed but on school graduation night, YOU BET!!!, it was all worth it. I loved watching them grow for 25 years. Two Children's Homes and I retired, happy, healthy and satisfied.

I have worked with numerous families in the greater Houston to Heights area, for many years, including abroad. So therefore, I have extensive experience to care for your loved ones.

I have been a Primary Care Provider for the past 14+ years, and have cared for newborns to teenagers. All have had different types off caring needs, many were challenging, others were very well mannered, and all were hyper and adventurous. Very fun families to work with over the years. I enjoy working with kids, they make me happy.

I am the type to always keep a close eye on whomever I'm looking after, clean up messes to prevent anything from going wrong, and I'm trustworthy.

I'm here to protect your child/teen, and to make them enjoy the time their parents/guardian are away.

I have 3 sisters, and 1 brother. All younger than me. Two of my sisters are in the process of finishing up school so they can move on to college. The other attends UofH. It's very exciting for my family and me to see everyone growing up. Patience, involvement and guidance is the key to help them strive and achieve all their aspirations in life.

Teenagers want a friend, but of course there must be the certain point where you have to put your foot down and know when to say no.
<bra>
For younger children, I do not spank, scream, or raise my voice in any matter. There is a certain tone and strategy you must use to get there attn. It's certainly not by screaming ones head off. Time outs are used if only the parent agrees.

Play time is essential everyday, I can cook/extensively clean, fold laundry, get things organized if you need help in that area. Homework/projects gets done on a timely matter, that way when you get home.. all you have to do is look over it. Snack times, controlled TV shows, computer, and video games are all a part of every typical family's home. As is taking the children outside for bike rides, a dip in the pool, basketball, soccer, theatrical plays, theaters, kid friendly places, parks, anywhere you approve.

I had my very first overnight babysitting job, when I was only 12 years old. I was the family's favorite baby sitter, and they trusted me to provide overnight care for their three children (ages 4,3, and 10 months), while they went away for a romantic weekend. My mother was right around the corner; but still, that was a lot of responsibility to give a 12 year old girl. I did very well,though, and the excellent references I received at that time, launched my nanny career. I have always loved children. My goal in life was to grow up and have children of my own. Even when I was working on my degree in Elementary Education, I was dreaming of the day I would become a mother. Eventually, at age 26, I gave birth to my first child. Soon after, my second child was born. Soon after that, my third child was born. Only 6 weeks later, I decided to become a foster care provider for 2 adorable girls with Down's Syndrome. Caring for these five children was exhausting at times, but absolutely the most exhilerating and rewarding thing I had ever done. So...I gave birth to one more child. I did have the soundness of mind to stop adding family members at this time. Raising these six children provided me with invaluable experience.I certainly know the heart of a mother, and respect the fact that she wants the absolute best care for her children. Two of my children were diagnosed with ADD(H). So, raising them has given me invaluable tutoring experience as well. Before starting my own family, I worked as a live-in nanny, and babysitter for numerous families. I also worked as a day care teacher during that time. About 5 years ago, when my youngest child became a teenager, I realized how much I missed being around the little ones, and have worked again as a Nanny in several homes since then. You will see, if you meet me and I share my references with you, that I truly love woking with children and that I provide quality care.

I have been watching kids since I was about 12 old. I have two sisters. The youngest being 10 years apart so I have grown up with kids of all ages. I am one of the most patient people you'll ever meet. To me, it just takes understanding a child to give him or her the best care possible. As of right now, I babysit a 2-year-old and his brother who's 10. I also just recently left a school for gifted and talented children. I was a shadow to a 10 year old with Asperger syndrome and teachers assistant as well. I've been cooking since I was 10 so if that's needed, I can. I can clean and do anything around the house if needed. I can help kids with homework. I've also been acting and singing since I was 9, so I can show your child a diverse culture if desired. I absolutely love kids and can't have wait to have them with my fiancé. I also work full time at Olive Garden as an assistant manager. But I will be quitting as soon as I find a child care position,. As of right now I am taking a break this semester from school. I'm going for a bachelors in hospitality management, but I've recently come to the decision that I really want to do something with early childhood development or child psychology. But I just dont know exactly what. Just email me or call/text and I will answer any questions or fears you may have. I can give references if needed.

I live in the memorial area. I am bilingual (Spanish-English), certified and an experienced preschool teacher. Currently I am looking to provide teacher care at my home. I decided to stay at home with my toddler. I used to be an Au Pair for four children at the same time (newborn twins, infants 3 to 5 years old). I have a 8 year-old and a 16 month old. Latest experiences: *Spanish tutor for toddlers also, I have been working for military families. In the morning, I used to take care of two children. My duties included: getting them ready for school, making breakfast, packing lunch, getting them dressed, and homework help. With this family, I worked until the daddy came from Iraq. In the afternoon (3:30 to 8 p.m.), I used to care for an 8-year-old boy after school, taking him out for activities, playground, making arts and crafts, helping with homework, cooking dinner, and getting him ready for bed. Then getting new schedule just mornings until 8 am. I am seeking part-time or full time summer position. If you are family who needs a nanny to care for their children, and also a teacher, if you want to have a home-school at your house! With babies, I can work doing early stimulation development using different activities and exercises. With toddlers, I can help within just three days to potty train and do behavior formation through games and following simple rules with patience and love. With school children, I can help with homework. I really like to make arts and crafts projects to facilitate their learning process all according on your child's age.

My husband and I both work full time. My husband, Frank, works from home most of the week and stays in his downstairs office. Myself, Payton, I work away from home. Our son, Sid is 1 1/2 and a pretty cool kid that loves to be around anyone and everyone. Our nanny, Kayleigh, is available Monday-Friday 40 hours a week. Kayleigh has many years of experience in teaching, education, and child care. She is very creative and does a fantastic job teaching, training, disciplining, and getting out of the home for activities! We are a very relaxed family and only stay busy with work or being with our son. We are looking for a family to join in on the fun and wanting a special place for their kid to grow. Feel free to ask any questions!
