Hi! I grew up in Richland Hills and have always had a passion for watching children learn and grow. I have been caring for children since I was a teenager. I started in my church nursery, then a friend’s special needs daughter, and have only expanded my clientele from there.
I have worked with many special needs kids as they hold a special place in my heart. I have taken care of all ages including picking up from school, helping with homework, preparing and serving meals, bedtime routine, helping with animals, light housework, running errands, and transportation assistance. I have always loved children, and would love the opportunity to help yours grow into the kind of person we all want the world to have more of.
I will treat your children well and teach them to treat people this way as well. I also teach gratitude and manners.
I understand the importance of children getting time to be children and use their amazing imaginations. I have always encouraged my son to use his imagination and will encourage your child(ren) to as well.
I also value independence. I do not believe in doing things for people, because that isn’t truly helping them in the long run. I believe in teaching them how to do it for themselves, so they develop new skills they can benefit from for a lifetime.
I will encourage your children to go outside and get some sun on beautiful days. We may even take walks or go to parks. I always leave everything how I found it or cleaner.
I try to limit screen time. I love playing board games and card games and putting complicated toys together with them. I love reading to them and doing science experiments. I also love swimming! Your children will NOT be bored.
I am quite rusty as I haven’t had anyone to practice with in years, but I took two years of American Sign Language in high school. I still remember enough to teach. If you have any questions, please reach out to me. I look forward to hearing from you!
