Hello! My name is Jackie . I have always had a passion and a love for working with children. When I was in high school I always offered to babysit for the other families in my neighborhood. I, myself, am one of nine children and have grown up around the organized chaos of a large family. In high school I had the opportunity to work as an Elementary Teacher Assistant and knew that I wanted to work with children. After I graduated, I went on to attend Texas State University in San Marcos. While I was working towards my Education degree, I worked side by side with a seasoned teacher while she opened up her own learning facility. I had the opportunity to create curriculum for each one of the classes, order supplies, set up classrooms, and manage the parents night out held on Saturdays. The next step was to complete my student teaching. I worked as a student teacher in a kinder classroom at an school here in San Antonio. I completed my student teaching in April of 2012. I began to substitute teach grades k-8 for the duration of the year at a school. The school I worked with extended an offer to me for their Kinder position, I gladly accepted! While I waited for the school year to begin, I worked as a Nanny through the summer with a family that had three girls. When the school year began, I was the new kinder teacher and helped continue as the families Nanny during school holidays and breaks. This year I decided to take a leave as a teacher and pursue a degree in higher education. Through my years working with children, I see how many children struggle and begin to get left behind. Many students in my class had problems with speech, I had a Speech Pathologist work one on one with my students every week. It improved my students' quality of life and made their time at school much more enjoyable. I want to help students who struggle with similar issues and become a Speech Pathologist myself. I am organized and clean person who works well in chaotic situations. I work well on my feet and am a very energetic person with an active lifestyle. I absolutely love to cook and love interacting with children through music, cooking, sports, and crafts. I would love to opportunity to meet your family and share my passions with you!

I have a cumulative of 10 years of babysitting/nanny experience starting with babysitting local children when I was in high school as well as taking care of my newborn brother while my parents worked. I have a degree in psychology emphasis in child psych. and I also have my EMT certification (emergency health care). I am currently a year away from my BS in emergency medicine. I love children and I would love to help out with your family! EXPERIENCE Nanny Babysitting Exclusive Child Care * June-September 2010 The family consisted of three children all under the age of 5. I watched them during the days while the mother was at work. I made sure to include fun outside activities as well as reading and learning activities. We worked on addition and spelling in fun ways that made the kids more engaged and enthused about what they were learning. I also took care of basic household duties such as cleaning the kitchen, bathrooms, and children’s rooms. I also did the laundry and vacuuming for the house, and made dinners and snacks for the children. * August 2006- December 2009 I was very close knit with this family of five. I looked after the younger two girls. Keri was 12 and Kasey was four. I mostly was over on weekends and evenings to make dinner for them and help them with homework before tucking them in for bed. The rest of the family was very busy and I did not mind driving them around for various school and extracurricular activities. * July 2010- Present This is a new family here in Utah. They have two girls both under the age of five. I will occasionally watch them on evenings after school when the parent’s are at church or work activities. They are a very lively bunch that loves being outside so I will take them to the park or on bike rides. I also cook for them at dinner time and cleaning on occasion. * September 2012 – Present My family experience is probably the best experience that I have in childcare. I am the middle child with five brothers. When my youngest brother was born my step-mother had to go back to work. I became primary care-taker to my infant brother. I learned the ins and outs of taking care of infants and as he grew older I progressed with learning more about babies and then toddlers. I am more than capable of understanding a young child’s needs. I understand non-verbal cues and I also am very skilled in the art of diaper training. Food knowledge is also an essential part of any child’s health. I am very experienced in health foods and know quite a bit about food allergies. Overall, this has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my life.

Having the opportunity to aide and witness the growth and development of a child is very magical and touching. After 15 years in this field, I can honestly say that I have the best job in the world! My experience ranges vastly from working with newborns to school aged children as well as children with special needs. I have 4 years of experience teaching Pre-K, have coached team sports (t-ball, soccer, gymnastics) and also lead a children's cooking class for a few semesters. My private care experience includes working in nanny shares, overnight care for infants and teens, and full week/weekend care while parents are away. My approach to childcare has evolved over the years. My philosophy is to facilitate a consistent, loving environment where children can learn through play and exploration which in turn builds confidence and awareness of themselves and the world around them. I do my best to provide child-lead activities that empower independence, nurture curiosity and promote creative thinking. I feel strongly in the power of free-time, free-play and free-range movement. Our days will be planned, but also flexible and adaptable. Some of my favorite activities to do with children include: music and movement, creating of any kind: crafts, cooking, building. Going on educational outings, to play dates and grocery shopping :) I love working with side-by-side with children and their families, getting to know them and share in their journey. I would love to work with a family that shares a similar philosophy and values my years of experience in this field. If you're looking for an awesome role model for your children who is that is aldo a dedicated and engaging caregiver, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Growing up I was always surrounded with child care since my Mom did Day care while I was young, then Later helped out with Different Organizations for children, then finally working with Special Needs children, that I later joined in on. For me, It all started with Babysitting at a young age, but throughout my years I have been blessed to be able to work with Children as much as I have. I taught at a local preschool for a year, helped out with kid's organizations since 1999, service projects with kids since 1998, Children with Special needs since 2002 and taught dance for children ages 3-14 for two years. And currently Nanny for two different families until I leave for school in August. Altogether I have about 10 plus years of Babysitting experience and about 3 plus years of actual Nanny experience. I was excited when I started "Nannying" for a few different families and I loved it so much I continued to do it! I was able to move home for a couple summers where I was lucky enough to help my eldest sister out with her new born Twins and older baby girl! most would look at taking care of children as a challenge but I find it a life changing experience that Has been a Blast! I love kids and will be so excited to find out who my next family will be =)

Hello my name is Alicia, I am 26 years old and I am currently a full time student at Northwest Vista College. Currently, we are on winter break, but I will be continuing to take online courses this semester to reach my goal in earning my degree in business administration. Most recently, I worked for a family whose two boys I cared for Monday-Friday and I can assure you that there is never a dull moment! Most week days, I would pick up the boys from school, drive home, and we would start homework with a light snack. Of course, Miss. Alicia would have to approve the snack, and then, upon completion…play!! With endless amounts of art supplies (which I love), toys, games of hide-n-seek, and on occasion, so I could get some light house cleaning done, watch a fun/appropriate and approved show or movie. During the summer there was less T.V. and more “let’s do stuff, but outside”, we’d run, play, and learn about everything and anything. Summer was a lot of fun with plenty of swimming, running, biking, taking them to their weekly swim class, as well as, learning our alphabet and numbers. Normally, I worked and cared for till them until their mothers return home and the boys would always, unless instructed differently, bathed, had their dinner prepared, and ready for relax time. More recently, I have been only working part time for the family and am seeking either another part time position or full time position.

Hi! My name is Mary. I have recently moved to the San Antonio area and am looking for a full time, live out position. I have cared for children part time for various friends, family, and coworkers over the past 19 years. This ranged from newborns to now age 13. I have also worked in a child care facility with infants and with the summer program. This work led me to obtain my degree in Early Childhood Education. I've worked as a full-time nanny for 6 years with 3 different families. One family in the Washington DC/Virginia area watching 2 boys ages 2 and 4. I spent one year abroad with an Austrian family watching a 2 yr old boy. And also a summer with a family with 3 kids, 2 girls and 1 boy, in Washington State. Tasks have included waking up, baths, getting dressed, taking to/from preschool and kindergarten and activities, and all meals. We enjoyed all sorts of activities from reading a book together to going to the park or museum. I can help with everything from riding bikes to tying shoes, I'm pretty flexible. I am also able to run errands from shopping to dry cleaning. Managing a household is no problem for me. Children and parents warm up to me very quickly. I enjoy reading, music, dance, movies, baking and would like to become better at cooking! I'm a quiet person, not too wild and crazy, but like to have fun. I've taken language courses in Spanish and French so I can understand some basics and studied German while in Austria. I am also First Air and CPR certified. I look forward to learning more about the San Antonio area and meeting new people. If you feel your family and I might be a good match please send me a message.
