I was raised in a home where my mother provided child care services to school teachers' children. At the age of 12, I began baby-sitting children. While in college, I baby-sat professors' children as well as being a part-time nanny for families. I graduated with a B.A. in Psychology with a concentration in Child Psychology. Initially, out of school, I counseled adults and continued to baby-sit. I have worked as a Lead Teacher in a nursery school and as a teacher in an after-school program. I worked as a Membership Manager for the xx in Massachusetts and Virgina. The last ten plus years, I entered into the business world where I did accounting/cost accounting/analysis. I enjoy working with children and they seem to enjoy me. Currently, I am very involved in the children ministry with my church:during the school year, VBS,Track & Field Outreach Clubs, assist with Sunday School and Nursery. From 1998-1999, I was a part-time nanny for a families 1-year-old girl. From 2000-2001, I baby-sat for her on weeknights and weekends. I also house and cat sat for them when they were out of town. I took their daughter to the playground, biking, walking, played games with her, did crafts, took her the Children's Museum, etc. I still remain in contact with the family and feel they are an important part of my life. I began babysitting a families three boys in 1989 when they were ages 2, 5, and 8, and continued to baby-sit the boys until they were all in eighth grade. I watched them full-time during the summers when able as well as weekends and weeknights during the school year. I ran errands, assisted with housework, played games with them, allowed them to have other friends over, made them meals, took them swimming, to movies, etc. To this day, I remain in good contact with them. They have turned into family and consider me like a sister and daughter. Currently I part-time sit/nanny for various families with children ranging from 7 months old - 9 years old. I prepare meals, assist with laundry, dishes, cleaning around house, very active with taking kids on walks, to parks, various events in the area, playgrounds, arts/crafts, games, run errands I've watched children over long weekends while their parents were out of town.

I have been babysitting for family, friend's, and even my high school teacher's children since I was 13 years old. I went to a community college back in PA, where I am from, for about 3 years. I went for Elementary Education. I "student taught" a 2nd grade class as a part of my assignment, and ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!! I moved to VA in October of 2009. I love working with kids and watching them learn and grow. I was a nanny for a FABULOUS family in the Short Pump area, and I ABSOLUTELY love them! They are my family away from home. I was with them for a little over a year, but needed something a little more "full time". I am currently a manager. I am a very hard worker and definitely make the kids my top priority.

I have 20 years of nanny/infant&toddler teacher experience and have been blessed to work as a nanny for many wonderful families. I have worked with newborns along with their siblings, twins, and school age children. I enjoy being part of family and someone the parents can trust and count on in all situations. I love and adore children and because I am a confident and positive person I can help the children become that way as well. I am creative, artistic, and fun so it has made being a nanny a wonderful career for me. I attribute much of my experience, skills, and abilities to the families for giving me the opportunity.

My first job was at a daycare when I was fifteen. I worked in the infant and toddler rooms in the summers and the before and after school program during the summer. That program was elementary school ages. Through out my high school and college years I went on allot of missions trips working on orphanages in different countries. Throughout those years I had allot of part time babysitting and Nanny jobs. After I got married in 2007 I became a school coordinator in an elementary school for ages 5-11. I left after 2 years to become an Enrichment instructor. I then moved to Richmond where I became a stay at home mom for my super fun 2 year old Stella.

I helped my father raise my two year old twin sisters since they were born so I enjoy being in the presence of younger children. I also became almost family to 2 boys that were 1.5 and almost 3 years old. I have also watched cousins and friends of the family's children. I have more experience than most 18 years olds since I do have 7 siblings.
