I have been in the child care industry in one capacity or another for the past 20 years. I spent the first half of that in corporate america working as a teacher and later in a management postion. When my daugther was 2 I stayed home for a few years and did childcare in my home. When she entered school full time I went to work for a private child care as a teacher and would fill in as a director when needed. I became a private nanny about 4 years ago and have worked with three different families. I have had vast experience with children with disapbilities, and have a very deep understanding of how the early intervention program works. I have worked with children of all ages and hold my degree in exceptional children, with extra credit hours in early childhood eduction. I am proud of my education and continue to keep up on current affairs thru continuing educaiton, seminars, and research but nothing can compare to the hands on learning that I have been blessed with.
