My name is Brittney, and I have 9 years of childcare experience. I started as a babysitter in my teenage years, but I entered the professional side of childcare about 6 years ago, working as a nanny. The last family for whom I took care of their three children ages 2 years to 6 years. My responsibilities were, first and foremost, to take care of the children’s needs: food, diaper, and sleep schedule was the most important for younger ones. But also dishes, bottles, and play environment were my responsibility to keep clean and orderly. I also sang songs, read stories, and engaged in interactive play with them all, as well as taking them for walks to the park or swimming at the community pool. My work as a nanny for this family required me to take on several different responsibilities. Housework such as laundry and dishes for the children was always an important factor for me and the family. I took the responsibility of feeding the children very seriously by making sure to prepare their meals to the best of my ability, and taking care of bottle feedings by making each bottle with complete efficiency. Walks, trips to the park, or other outdoor activities are very important to me, so I made an effort to instill outdoor play for the children often. Additionally, as a babysitter, I've cared for children as young as newborns all the way up to young preteens. I learned early on in my childcare years to have fun above all else, and I made sure to do that with any child I took care of. Most importantly, I want to inform you about my training. After parting ways with this family I attended a Nanny School. I became a Certified Professional Nanny, Certified Newborn Care Specialist, Certified in Infant Massage, Certified AAA Driver Awareness & Automobile Safety, and First Aid CPR AED Certified. I work very well with infants, toddlers, and children of any age, so I think your little ones will be a joy to get to know and care for. I can provide references and resume.
