A little bit about me…Hi my name is Angel. Although I am still learning to be a nanny I still think I am a great candidate for any position. I have experience with working/supervising with 15-20 children at a time. I have 5 years of experience working directly with kids, as a Paraprofessional and an after-school program leader. Working in an elementary school assisting students in academic work, physical activities, social skills, art and much more. I have worked with children from the ages 4-12 (Transitional kindergarten- Fifth grade) being a guide for them to do better and achieve any goal they put their mind. Before leaving my old job I have done a lot of trainings pertaining to children. Such as De escalating problems, restorative conversations, bullying, first aid/CPR, Covid precautions for children, social and behavioral issues and many, many more. I am confident, very reliable and available when needed. when working with kids I am caring, compassionate, and committed to each child's success

More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were…Worked in the school district for 5 years. Teaching and supporting students in school. Taking children on field trips, eating lunch together and playing fun activities together building a classroom community.
Activities I enjoy doing with children…Going to amusement parks, doing arts and craft, cooking classes, healthy active movement activities (baseball, kickball, etc) Playing game boards or even video games.
The most important part about being a nanny…The fact that I am with the child for a significant amount of the day makes me realize I largely influence them and can impact their lives. It is a huge responsibility, but also an honor and a privilege
My experience with special needs children…worked as a Paraprofessional, fostering a safe and loving environment in the school for a child with special needs exercising skills in patience, attention to detail and de-escalation. Assisting children who are incapable of caring for themselves(feeding/ changing them if needed) Also working with children who have individualized educational plans (IEP). My typical tasks included working with students in groups and individually during lessons, assisting with lesson plans and materials.
