Activities I enjoy doing with children…Arts and crafts, gardening, cooking/baking, fun science experiments, outdoor play (hiking/park adventures), games, music
The most important part about being a nanny…My number one priority as a nanny is to keep the children I care for safe. However, what is equally important in my opinion is building trusting, loving, and lasting relationships with kids and their families that encourage open communication, creativity, and authenticity.
My experience with special needs children…3 years of volunteer work at the academy of music and art for special education
My favorite nanny moment…It’s hard to pick a specific favorite nanny moment because for me what makes nannying so special are the little moments. I love being able to build relationships with the kids I care for and getting to watch them grow and facilitate their creative expression. I think it’s always so magical to watch kids create, whether it be coming up with stories together, choreographing silly dances or secret hand shakes, baking a recipe from scratch, making art...etc. I think that when kids are creative is when you really get to see their heart and spirit.
