Relevant experience where I also cared for children were…Daycare teacher infants. 4 babies under 6 months for my class specifically
Nanny for 2 year old boy and 5 year old girl for 2 years a few years ago
Activities I enjoy doing with children…Making forts, COLORING, walks, parks, hide and seek, art projects, baking, reading, swimming
The most important part about being a nanny…LOVE and paying attention to them. And responding. Being active in their development of becoming a great human being
My experience with special needs children…TONS. I have a pretty severe autistic sister. I worked with an autistic boy as a “shadow” for 2 years from [phone number hidden]. He went to a private school and they didn’t have a special needs program so I was just with him all the time. But more than that even going to his house before school and we’d do his “morning routine” and like get ready for school was part of the whole job.
I’ve also worked in homes for adults with autism, which was pretty challenging but rewarding work. It was a lot of bathing, feeding, playing, medication. All the care for them.
My favorite nanny moment…I’m a total crybaby. I’m all about the mile stones and A favorite moment is all of the big mile stones they hit and just like being so excited they can crawl and stand up and then walk 😭❤️
