More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
As a mother I have my fair share of experience with my daughter though I’ve also been a housekeeper and nanny for various families in recent years. I have experience babysitting my sister’s and friend’s children as well. I love kids very much and find it fascinating how they develop and learn so quickly. For many years I’ve been interested in learning about childhood development, pregnancy and physiological birth. I aspire to support mothers birthing in power, as well as through postpartum. Supporting mothers is another way to support children because if mother is well nourished emotionally, spiritually and physically than she can better care for her baby. I see the strength in a family unit, and strive to create community where we are truly there for one another in raising healthy and thriving future generations.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Kids make any activity fun, though I try to get kids involved with all activities as long as they show interest. I love helping kids learn new skills and gain fresh new experiences. Outdoor adventures such as parks, trails and playgrounds, where there’s opportunity to slow down and interact with plants, animals, and all nature is healing. I also love teaching and doing art, in the forms of drawing, painting, dance and music. I enjoy seeing kids thrive under the sun, open-ended play, and creative art using natural items like sticks, flowers, seeds, leaves and rocks. Teaching skills like reading, writing, math, gardening, food preparation, cooking, and basic cleaning and organizing. Every activity can be made educational as long as you use your imagination and most importantly make it fun and engaging!
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, it’s important that nanny, kids and parents get along, and that kids are being looked after carefully, fed well nourishing meals, feeling comfortable, and always learning. I want to make the most of every experience and really get to know each other and have fun together. It’s important that there is clear communication about expectations and we practice respect towards one another. Learning to set clear boundaries and ensuring we understand each others wants and needs is a must. I enjoy an environment where we can all feel appreciated, respected and valued.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Kids are the sweetest and most amazing beings, I simply cannot name just one favorite time. Every moment is a new adventure with these quick growing and learning young ones. They are entertaining to witness, at all ages. I am absolutely fascinated by life, development and our ability to interact and connect. I am grateful to see the beauty in it all. Getting to actively participate with children as they learn, grow and change is an irreplaceable blessing.
