Relevant experience where I also cared for children were…EMT, Camp Counselor, Volunteer at Raleigh Rescue Mission, Elementary/Middle School Tutor, Nanny
Activities I enjoy doing with children…I love being outside and playing sports!
The most important part about being a nanny…is being a positive role-model/mentor! and giving kids the space to be kids and discover who they are, while also protecting them and encouraging positive behaviors.
My experience with special needs children…I have only watched one autism-spectrum disorder child in my career, but I am comfortable working with disabled children- I simply may need some extra time/instruction to best assist you!
My favorite nanny moment…I watched 3 boys (all under 3 when I started!) for all four years in high school. The middle child, deep in thought, said out of nowhere-
"missizzy, youre just like... a blob."
"I am a blob? what does it mean when somebody is a blob?"
*sigh* "I don't know... you just are okay?"
So I guess you can add 'blob' to my list of traits/qualities!
