Full-Time Babysitter Available in Pendleton, OR: Alicia B.
Hi! I am me. Simple as that. I graduated from Central Washington University with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Performance. Having moved all across the country multiple times, from a very young age, I have seen enough of the USA to know we all really are in this together.
After graduating from CWU, I went on to direct children's theatre at Centerstage in Federal Way. This went on for three years, so I was able to coach and guide and mentor many of the same children/young adults, watching them grow from year to year, into these amazing little people! Putting on productions with a handful of nine and ten year olds, a few twelve year olds, and the all knowing fifteen year old...not easy...but fun and challenging and ultimately a success!
From there I joined College Nannies and Tutors in Seattle. I was an on-call nanny, meaning I was able to help out multiple families when they needed someone. Along the way I picked up regulars who asked for me: two little girls, three and five, who loved to play chase and swing outside. Another family had a pair of boy/girl twins, age three, who also had texture issues when eating. We had to find foods the boy liked, and integrate interesting and unique ways to get him to try new foods out of his comfort zone. They moved after a year, but did ask if I'd be available in their new area. Unfortunately I was not able to follow them.
I was permanently placed with a family. They had a boy and girl, nine and eleven, when I first started with them. I would help get the kids up, make everyone breakfast, prepare and pack up lunches for the kids, then drive them to school. I remember having a race against the clock one morning, trying to put the girls hair I'm crazy braids for a school function later in the day. It was wild! The summer I was with them, we would walk to the park and play with the dogs, we made diy stress balls, had water balloon fights (which we recorded in slow motion and it was so neat!), made tie-dye shirts, and the young boy...
