A little bit about me...

Hi there! My name is Kiara Moore. I currently teach at a childcare center and I have 11 years of experience in a childcare setting as well as babysitting. I have worked for to childcare centers as a Lead Teacher working with all age groups. I am looking to venture off into becoming a nanny and becoming apart of a family I can grow with. I am CPR/First Aid certified and I have references available. I am great with pets so pet friendly homes are no problem. I am passionate about creating a safe, loving, and engaging environment for children, whether that means playtime, learning activities, outdoor fun, or simply being a calming, reliable presence in the child/children’s routines.

More About Me

Open Arms Child Development Center: November 2014-May, 2023

Bright Generations: May, 2023- Present

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy doing all kinds of activities with children. I get down on the children’s level and get dirty as long as the children are happy. I enjoy doing arts and crafts, dancing, sensory activities (dirt, sand, water, etc.), outdoor play and exploration, dramatic play (dressing up), building with blocks, reading, singing, and many more activities. I have created lesson plans and use lesson plans daily to come up with different age appropriate activities that will help children explore and grow based on individual needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the most important part about being a nanny is making sure the children in your care feels loved, safe, and healthy. Building a bond with not only the children but the parents are very important and makes nannying that much more meaningful. Being able to grow with a family while learning your families routines and being able to share knowledge on a daily basis.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience with children who have autism, seizures, behavioral needs, disabilities and more.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment I would say is having fun and being able to be a kid again while playing with the children in my care. At the end of the day hearing those little voices asking me to stay with them let’s me know that I have done a awesome job at making my children happy.
