Relevant experience where I also cared for children were…I was a volunteer in the church kids groups from ages of 11-15. I also was a cheerleader in high school and in the National Honor Society so I was involved in a lot of volunteer services for the local elementary and middle schools!
Activities I enjoy doing with children…I am all for outdoor activities such as hiking, walking, going to the park, or even sitting in the drive way and drawing with chalk! Whatever your family loves to do I am sure I will too!
The most important part about being a nanny…The most important part is providing a safe space for not only the kids but for the parents who trust you with their kids! I try to foster a supportive, inclusive environment that promotes safe and healthy child care.
My experience with special needs children…I used to volunteer with my hometown physical and occupational therapy center for kids with special needs for a year!
My favorite nanny moment…My absolute favorite moment is when I get to watch the kids grow and figure out how to do life! It is so interesting to see how these little people grow up so fast :) I have learned through experience that not only is. a nanny there for safety reasons but to be their friend and someone they can trust.
