Relevant experience where I also cared for children were…My most recent work with caring for children was over the summer when I looked after a 7 month old baby girl. As mentioned in my bio, I worked as a Teacher's Assistant at a daycare where I worked with kids from infants to 10-year-old and I have also worked at a local daycare near my home. I have cared for friend's siblings and even siblings / younger cousins of my own. Throughout my education, I have taken courses such as Early Childhood Development, a Motherhood class and I am currently in the process of attaining multiple certifications to assure the safety and proper care of any child I look after.
Activities I enjoy doing with children…I love to make sure the child is having fun and creating long-lasting memories. I very much encourage activities like cooking and baking, as well as, singing, dancing, being involved with nature and much more. Artistic and creative expression as well as intelligence are always qualities I love to strengthen. I am obtaining a degree in Environmental Science with a concentration in Wildlife Management and a minor in Biology so I love to educate children on many different animals and provide cool facts they may find interesting. I will always ask the child what their interests are and incorporate that into our experiences together.
The most important part about being a nanny…The most important part about being a nanny is the bond that is created with the child. This bond is full of love and security as well as many other things. Being a nanny, you need to be a role model for the child. You must be enthusiastic, supportive, and encourage creativity. Safety should also be one of the top priorities on a nanny's list. Also, having fun!!!
My experience with special needs children…I do not have any experience with special needs children but I am willing to take the steps necessary to become as knowledgable and experienced as possible for the safety of the child I care for.
My favorite nanny moment…My favorite nanny moment was when the 7 month old girl I was looking after said the word "momma" to her mother for the first time. It was so beautiful, I teared up.
