Relevant experience where I also cared for children were…I have additional experience at church with infant and toddler care as well as church teaching for ages preschool-3rd grade. This requires background check and safe & secure certification. Many of these families will additionally ask me for date night childcare outside of church.
I am also CPR and First Aid certified.
Activities I enjoy doing with children…A shorter list would be what activities we haven['t done together! I was a full-time nanny during the summer hours and would spend all day together with the kids. I wanted to make sure they were continually growing and being stimulated. Our activities involved cooking, baking, arts and crafts, STEM activities, indoor & outdoor activities, exercise, day trips, vacations together, the list is exhaustive. Ultimately, it is my job to ensure these children are learning, growing, having monitored fun, and being stimulated.
The most important part about being a nanny…These kids may be young, but I am training them up to be good human beings for the rest of life. What skills they learn now, will carry into all sorts of life experience. So, it is my job to teach them right from wrong, integrity, responsibility, kindness, inner strength, and so much more.
My favorite nanny moment…I'm sure any nanny would say it is hard to pick. For Christmas this past year, I gifted the kids (aged 5 & 7) and ultimate sleepover night. The kids had enough material things, so I gave them an experience instead. Mom and dad got an extra date night out of it too. We had dinner, a dance party complete with disco lights, and fell asleep watching a movie set up with candy, popcorn, and a projector.
