I’m a nanny because I work well with children. I'm calm and level-headed, and I've dealt with all matter of tantrums. I love to play with the kids, instead of just sitting them in front of a TV, and I think that's what makes me such a good fit for childcare. I really care about the kids, and it's never "just a job" to me. Being a nanny would be awesome for me, and I know it would prepare me for the eventuality of my own children.
My past childcare experience I've spent the past seven years employed at a baptist church in Ames, where I've taken care of anywhere from one tiny baby to seven or eight infants/toddlers. I grew up in a family of 10 and often had to care for my two younger siblings, as well as doing a lot of cleaning and some cooking to help around the house. I've also done babysitting for other families since I was eleven or twelve.
