I’m a nanny because I knew I wanted to work with children since I was in high school. I volunteered at a day care where I confirmed that this was my passion. I have enjoyed my career as preschool teacher. With the closing of a classroom due to low enrollment and having completed 34 years as a Montessori teacher I thought this would be an opportunity to change careers. Being a professional nanny allows me to continue to use my talents and skills with children while offering a different environment to do it in. This would challenge me to grow in different ways while permitting me to work with children.

My past childcare experience I am a mature, energetic, professional Montessori educator with over 30 years of experience working with children between the ages of 2 ½ to 6 years of age. In addition to my professional experience, I am the Great Aunt to a family of five children, ages 10, 8, 5, and a set of 2-year old twins, and delight in being a very active participant in their day-to-day lives. My experience in being around from their births to the age they are today has given me insights and additional understanding of children’s needs before the age of 2 and beyond 6. I have been blessed to be part of the hectic lifestyle that this large family deals with from individual schedules to group activities that include the whole family.

Additional comments I would love to send you a copy of my resume which will show you my qualifications and accomplishments. My cover letter will give you an insight into what values I can bring to your children and how I would fit into your household. I have collected questions asked by nanny agencies that will answer many questions such as; why I want to be a professional nanny, my thoughts on discipline, and what type of activities I would arrange for your child. Copies of reference letters will give you a comprehension of how other people view me. I am certified in infant, child, and adult CPR and am current in First Aid as well as trained in the use of an EPI pen. My love of being with children along with my professional work attitude makes me the perfect candidate to be your nanny.
