I’m a nanny because
I have already been a nanny in the past with four years of professional nanny experience with twin infants and a toddler. There are many reasons why I want to work with children but the main reason is because I feel that I have been blessed with the natural ability and gift of working with them. I believe that I have a natural ability to connect with young children and I seem to be able to communicate with them and have a greater understanding of their needs than the average adult. I love working with children because they make my life meaningful and nothing can fulfill the joy they put in my heart. I love to be able to develop the close relationship with children that a nanny job provides.
My past childcare experience
I have taught preschool/pre-K/Kindergarten in public and private school settings for five years since graduating high school till 23 years of age. I have an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education and I am a certified Lead Teacher for the state of NH. After that I was a nanny for one family for 4 years. This family had a 2 year old boy and the mother was expecting twins and I was responsible for full care of the 2 year old boy and both twins from 7am-6pm four days a week. After that I went back to school for four years to get my Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science. I hope to one day teach exercise, health, and nutrition classes to children and young adults. I have always been responsible for creating, preparing, and implementing my own curriculum and activities for children while teaching. I have also worked as an after school program coordinator for elementary children providing enrichment and life skill building activities. I have also worked with infants in a childcare/daycare environment. In addition to all of this I have also had experience with personal family care and working with children with severe medical concerns and special needs.
