I’m a nanny because Now that my daughter has graduated earning A's at Loyola University, I am missing that playful, wide-eyed sense of adventure that a young child can have. I would like to pass on any of the knowledge that I have gained to the next generation. I can playfully teach electronics, physics and, many other subjects to a child as young as 5 by building things or helping them to observe their everyday life. I would enjoy helping a child design & build a playhouse in their own back yard. Of course, I also enjoy more traditional childhood activities such as roller skating, going to the beach or a museum, etc. Children naturally desire to play a large variety of different games to enable them to gain the knowledge that they will need for their future. I enjoy encouraging their creativity, providing ideas, materials and, if necessary, the transportation to a location so that they may obtain this knowledge. I can customize an activity as I observe the unique set of interests, sense of humor, skills and, attention span that a child has. This is of value because a child will best retain the knowledge that I teach when they are having the most fun. When not caring for your child, I would enjoy providing emotional support and care for the disabled, elderly or, the sick. I can also easily do most any household job, repair or, improvement.

My past childcare experience I enjoyed raising my daughter to her current age of 24 and I have cared for her friends when they would come to our house or go on vacation with my daughter & I when she was younger.

Additional comments I was sometimes bored as a child due to lack of attention from adults and, as a working parent, I have felt the need to provide opportunities for my daughter though, I could not always find the time to provide them. I now have the time and the desire to incorporate educational concepts into adventuresome children's games to enable a child to discover in what ways they are gifted and all the activities that they can enjoy doing while they gain the knowledge that will be useful for their future. Though my first name is Henry, everyone calls me Steve, my middle name. I have California TrustLine Certification. My CPR class was for adults, children &, infants. My first aid class was with the American Red Cross.
