I worked for 3 years as an infant / toddler teacher in a daycare where I was in charge of feeding and changing up to 3 infants or 4 toddlers at a time as well as putting them down for naps. I also was in charge of circle time where the children would learn colors, shapes, sharing, and friendship through songs and games. Arts & crafts were part of our daily routine which was always a fun part of the day where the children could express themselves and learn how to use different types of materials and arts supplies. In addition to my time at the daycare, I also have 10+ years experience babysitting for children ranging in age from infant up to the teenage years.

I have been working with children of all ages (birth through high school) in a variety of capacities for over ten years doing everything from nannying to tutoring early literacy (Pre-K-2nd Grade)to working alongside therapists in an Early Intervention setting to managing my own classroom as a preschool teacher. I also worked for some time as a substitute teacher, grades K-12. I spent several years throughout high school babysitting for a few families with children ranging from infancy to fifth grade, usually just for a few hours in the afternoon or during weekend evenings. Responsibilities typically included basic clean-up, entertainment and the occasional bedtime routine. As far as nannying experience is concerned, I spent one year taking care of my uncle's 2 girls, ages 5 and 9 when I began, before and after school. He was a a single father just getting on his feet at the time and I would arrive early to get the girls up, fed, ready and off to school or camp as he headed off to work. I would also be there to get them off the bus and assist with homework, accommodate afternoon activities and oversee playtime. Other responsibilities also included dishes, laundry, other basic house upkeep and some errands. For the last nine months, I have been employed through an agency providing after-school care for two children, aged 7 and 11. My current responsibilities include homework help, assistance with piano practice, overseeing playtime (indoors and out), basic clean-up, laundry and dishes, transportation to and from afternoon activities. I have also, during this time, effectively worked to help the seven year old overcome some major difficulties that she had been experiencing with literacy in school. While I adore the children and the family, my availability is changing in the fall and I will no longer be with them once the school year ends. I am now looking for a more full-time, potentially long-term position and will be available to start mid-June.

I have babysat for a family of three children. Two girls and one boy. The girls were 4 and 2 years of age and the boy was 8 years old. I have also babysat and been around my 3 cousins who are now 4 months, 3 years old and 5 years old. My boyfriend also has 2 children as well that live with us part time, ages 2 and 5 and the 2 year old is special needs.

I have babysat for numerous families over the past ten years. I also had two different families were I worked as a summer nanny during college. My first full-time nanny job was for three wonderful children (a set of toddler twins as well as their younger brother). This position lasted for a year and a half. Then I went on to work for a family with two boys ages 5 and 10. Unfortunately for me, the youngest entered full-day kindergarten this fall so I am no longer be needed. I was working for a family with three children ages 14,11,and 8, but in the fall the position goes back to being part-time and it is time for me to find a full-time position. I took a temp position working for 6 months caring for an infant but then the family decided daycare was the right option for them. I took some time off to have knee surgery and then I started working for a few different families doing on call work over the past year that ended up being more regular positions for the last year. I was caring for 3 wonderful children who were 9 months, 2, and 7 when I started. I left this position at the end of June when their mother decided to give her resignation at work. I also have been helping out a family with 1 boy with some behavioral issues. I have been helping with this 10 year old off and on when i'm needed for the past 2 years. As much as I like working for this family the position is not permanent and is only about 20 hours a week and I am looking to find a permanent position that is at least 30 hours a week.
