I’m a nanny because Nannying allows me to put into practice my ability to develop critical thinking skills in a real world social setting. I find comfort in nurturing children to become socially responsible individuals who I hope will one day become public leaders within their community.

My past childcare experience As a nanny, my number one priority is nurturing child development, mentally, emotionally, psychologically and academically. Experience reveals that parental values must co-align with my own in order to develop a successful and long-lasting relationship. As a parent viewing my site, rest assured that my role acts to complement your own values. That said, I will work best with someone who stresses a healthy lifestyle in all areas, extending far beyond nutritional and physical health. I work to develop communication and critical thinking skills in children from the moment I am able to engage with them, which has often preceded a child's capacity to speak verbally. Body language is very much a means of communication and children learn to communicate long before they use spoken word. One of my favorite quotes is by Ancient Greek philosopher, Aristotle, who wrote, "It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.” Thus, while I do not identify with any religion or political position, I at the very least engage in dialogue about matters concerning religion, politics and more, with parents and children. My ideal family will be open to developing an understanding of a concept and or problem from multiple perspectives. As Existentialist philosopher Nietzsche once said, "There are no facts, only interpretations," I find it extremely important to listen and, more importantly, to understand before acting on any situation. Children often find a sense of peace around me as I allow room for growth and development through open communication - which often times involves more listening than instructing. At no time do I advocate my own beliefs to children or parents. I merely engage in dialogue for the purpose of exploration.
