I’m a nanny because I enjoy being a nanny because of the responsibility families entrust in me and because I am able to touch children's lives in a positive way. I grew up babysitting a lot and then once I moved out I got the usual run of the mill jobs and never found it as fulfilling as caring for children. When caring for children I try to incorporate phonics, practicing numbers and colors, etc. So when I watch them 'get it' or watch it 'click' it is such a great feeling, so that is one of the biggest perks to me.
