I’m a nanny because I love kids, i'm good with kids and love to be part of their lives :) help them exploring the new things, teaching them, and see how they r becoming small people in theirs small world. When we r playing together i'm becoming one of them, but most of the time i HAVE TO be an adult & take really good care of them!
My past childcare experience Hi, my name is Emina Atic and I’m 28 years old. I grew up in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina (part of former Yugoslavia). Bosnia is the heart shaped land that lies in the heart of southeast Europe. My family count four members, my mom, dad and my one year younger sister. Our parents taught us the value of education and strong moral values from a very young ages. [phone number hidden] I finished my high school. After a high school I finished 2 years on University and became a teacher. Since I got my degree as a teacher I worked in school with 2nd and 3rd grade. Later on, I extended 2 more years on University, because my goal was to improve myself more and get professor degree. 2008 I graduated on University of Tuzla and got my Professor degree for middle school education. During my studies I often babysat in my neighborhood. All my life I wanted to travel. Well, I took opportunity and came to America in February 2009, as an Au pair. I worked for an amazing family in Stamford, CT. I took care of 2 amazing kids, girl 2,5 years old, and boy was 5 years old. I stayed for a 2 years in this family and they made me feel like part of it; God knows how much I love them! Monday – Friday Morning: I would get up and prepare breakfast for kids (eggs, cereal, pancakes, fruit with cheese next to it, or something else, depends what their parents want me to prepare for them), help them with getting ready for school, prepare their lunch boxes, and drive them to day care and preschool I was taking some classes while they were in school. Next, I would return home and do the laundry and set up their beds, sometimes I would have them help me with organizing the toys. Afternoon: I would pick them up from daycare, preschool give them healthy snacks, and bring them home, or we would stay for a little bit at the JCC playground, or kid zone so they would be able to play for a little bit before we get home. We were always doing something interesting, playing games together, doing kids projects, having play dates with other kids, etc. Evening: I would prepare dinner for kids. Sit with them while they r eating, and help them if they need one. Later on I would give them a bath, they would brush their teeth and put them in bed, sometimes their parents were doing that. Also, I was bringing them to their activities during the week, such as piano lessons, karate, ballet, swimming , etc. As I said, I worked for this family 2 years, than my Au Pair program end it up, and I went to Bosnia to change my visa to student visa… The family that I worked for 2 years are my sponsors for my school Now, I'm currently a student at NCC - Norwalk Community College where I'm majoring in Business Administration and Management. During my college (NCC) I worked full time job for another family, since my previous family doesn’t need nanny or au pair anymore. They just want to spend more time with their children. We r still in touch, celebrating holidays together, having dinner together, celebrating birthdays and doing many other things together ; They r my American family Anyway, as I mentioned I worked full time job, but this time I was not just a nanny, beside that I was taking care of dogs, whole house, chickens. I worked for single mom and took care of her 9 years old girl. I’d been here one year. Girl was going to 3rd grade. My days looked like this: Monday-Saturday: I would have her get ready for school, give her breakfast and bring her to bus stop. Next, I would feed the dogs (4 dogs), walked them for a few hours, do the cleaning in the house, feed up chickens, pick up the girl from the school, give her healthy snacks, and bring her to White Plains on different classes, or to karate, or chess class at the JCC, etc., depends of the day. Also, I would go to my school in morning when I have classes. After activities we would come home, she would start with her homework, I would help her if she needs me, than we would have dinner, later on she would shower, I would give doggies dinner, feed up chickens again, and have girl to do some reading, or flash cards such as multiplication or Hebrew flashcards before going to bed. Well, what can I say about me I've always enjoyed children, being part of their lives & having opportunity to teach. My pleasures are reading them books & encouraging them to read. Love to do crafts with them and other stuff, just want them to be happy !!! :)
