I’m a nanny because I am a college educated (developmental psychology) Christian mother who has had 24 years of personal experience raising my own children. After teaching in the private school sector for several years, I decided that I needed to be more available to my family in the evenings. I absolutely love working with infants and young children, and I have found that this profession works well with my current home and school schedule.

My past childcare experience I am a college educated (developmental psychology) Christian mother who has had 24 years of personal experience raising my own children. After teaching in the private school sector for several years, I decided that I needed to be more available to my family in the evenings. The first family that I worked with was a wonderful experience, and I was with them for six great years. They will be happy to provide references for you if you request them. I was with their children from infancy through second grade. The only reason that I left that position was because the mother decided to leave her professional position to be able to spend more time with her family. I was with my second family for two wonderful years with a beautiful child from 6 months to 2 ½ years old. The mother had her second child and is expecting to stay home for 3-6 months on maternity leave. As it is necessary for me to stay employed full time, I am going to need a new position which I could begin February 1st. References from this family would be available pending a serious offer of employment. I am interested in a full time position, from 35-45 hours per week. My preferred, but negotiable, hours are between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, and I will only be available on weekdays. I would need to be off by 5:00 PM because I am currently taking evening classes for my MA degree in developmental psychology. My rates are commensurate with my education and experience, and have averaged $600/week depending upon the number of children involved and the duties required. I am certified in Child and Infant CPR, do not smoke, do not drink or take drugs, and through many years of experience, I have learned how to handle just about any type of child related emergency! I have a perfectly clean driving / police record, and I have my own transportation. I am also willing to do any household duties which are directly related to the position of childcare, and even though I know a lot about good nutrition for children, I am honestly not a very creative cook. As far as household management, I have had ample experience supervising others who were contracted out to perform functions around the home, such as pool maintenance, plumbing, maid service, and yard work. I would consider it a blessing to be considered as part of your child(ren)'s life, and, if I am given this responsibility, I will treat your children as if they were my own. If you are interested, please respond to me through this site. I will email my resume to serious offers. Thank you for your consideration.
