I’m a nanny because I have a lot of energy to motivate and play with children in a variety of indoor and outdoor activities. I love to take children to fun and educational places, including museums, zoos, parks, pools and the library. I also believe in encouraging kids in a healthy, active lifestyle. I enjoy seeing children interact with each other and watching them grow developmentally in all areas. I have lots of fun ideas and activities to engage children in. I also get very excited when I learn new ideas for activities. I have an interest in introducing beginners Israeli dancing to elementary-age children that are interested in learning. I am very sociable, love to get involved and interact. I also love hugs, showing affection and can be silly at times. If it makes the child smile or laugh, then it is all worth it. I also should mention here, that I hope to one day, to participate in children's educational, musical, imaginary, TV programs or videos such as Wee Sing, or the Wiggles and or Bible TV shows for children. In these types of shows, I can engage in being silly, while educating children at the same time. I have the personality for this. Based on all of my experiences with young children, plus my enthusiasm and interests, I believe that I am qualified to provide exceptional child care in a safe, fun environment for children to learn, explore and grow.
My past childcare experience I have over 20 years of experience and enjoyment working with young children from the age of 12 months to 12 years. I have had many opportunities to work with young children with a lot fun and memorable experiences in various ways since 1985 and up to the present. I have worked as a nanny, baby sitter, mother's helper/volunteer, child care provider (head teacher and assistant teacher) and floater/substitute teacher in a child care center, a junior counselor at a summer day camp, and volunteer work with children for field practicum required by the school I was attending for credit. I have lots of experience working with twins & multiples children in a similar age range at the same time. I also have some experiences caring for infants from helping out in home settings & in child care centers as a floater/substitute teacher and for field practicum, for credits, for the schools I have attended for Early Childhood Development. As a previous nanny and baby sitter, I have and love to take children to fun and educational places, transported them to and from their activities, as well as introduced to them with lots of enthusiasm and interacted in fun age appropriate activities at their home. I have introduced some fun creative movement activities to some children that I have watched previously, and it turned out to be a big hit. My current situation is this. . .. . .. . .. . .. I am currently working for a Westerville family that went from full time to part time, due to changes of the family's needs at this time. I have been with this family for a year. I have the opportunity to keep working for them part time on a continuous basis, that can even include Nanny share up to 2 additional children, for any other family that lives in or near the Westerville area. If you are possibly interested in Nanny share with my current family, then please let me know, and here is an additional option to consider...The days my current family would need me are occasional Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from (6:30AM to 5PM), which is based on a nurse's hospital rotating schedule. Their children are ages 9 and 5 and love to have playmates. However, they also understand, that my needs are for a full time position and they are aware that I looking for a full time position, whether it involves their family or not. I am prepared to leave this current family. My job duties with this current Nanny Position are. . ...providing meals and snacks, homework help, transportation to and from school, fun activities, fun outings to the park, indoor playground, story hour, and etc. In addition to my current Nanny position & at the same time, I was recently, also, a live-in night nanny for another family, for all of December 2011 & for all of January 2012, for a temporary free housing situation, in exchange for taking care of a 3 yr. old boy, 4 nights a wk from 3pm the earliest to midnight the latest, whose mother decided to move to AZ (Feb 1st of 2012) instead of the end of June of 2012 as originally planned. Her son was dropped off at my current nanny job with permission from the family. I would then bring him home, to where we both had live for that time, after my shift would be over & I would then watch him until his mom comes home. I provided him late snacks and dinner, & outings to fun activities such as an indoor playground. Previously, I have been living & working in Tx as a live-in Nanny & Mother's Helper also, for the past two yrs. I am from Ohio & I relocated to Texas to the College Station area in May of 2009, to be involved in outreach ministry and that is only my reason for relocating to Tx. During the first 18 months of my stay in Tx, I had worked as a volunteer only for this ministry, as a Full time-live-in-Mother's helper to supervise and help home school 5 children. I also provided many fun after school activities for these children & I had cared for them while their parents were out of town. I can provide a good reference for this position. I also was a promoter for this Bible Ministry and I did that on the side, even after I moved out of their home to pursue other Nanny Positions. Over the summer of 2011, I was working as a live-in nanny for a great family in the Gonzales area of TX who expressed that they are very happy with me and would give me a good reference. This was a summer position only, while one of the parents is attending summer school. This has been a very good situation for me. I really love this family and this job situation. We are all disappointed that I wasn't needed any longer. If her fall school schedule would have allowed her hours to be the same as it was that summer of 2011, I would have stayed on as this family's nanny longer. Once that position ended, I relocated back to Westerville Ohio, because I have family and friends here and I also was seriously reconsidering the decision in 2011 to leave the Bible ministry that is located in TX My job duties with this summer position in Gonzales TX were. . .. . .. . .. . .. . .. . .. . .. . .. . .. . A live-in Nanny, caring for two children, that were both under the age of 8 at that time, & we got along great. .I have been providing lots of fun games, activities & cool art projects kits.(such as sand art, stepping stones, decorating a jewelry box & plant pots), lots of board and card games & other games, outside water play with a water slide, attempted kite flying, trips to the library, organized trip to a swimming party & to the park, Other trips included peddle boating, & a historical site with their aunt, cousins, & outside friends. .Getting them ready for school & transporting them to and from school. .Light house duties, family's laundry & tidying the children's rooms and dressers. .Light grocery shopping. .Feed their many pets. Here are some examples of activities that I have done in the past with children. . .. . .. . .. . .. . ... Attempted Kite flying several times, creative movement activities, long jump rope, baking fun(home made cookies & home made soft pretzels), reading stories, bowling, going to the park, puppet shows, music hour for children at the book store, going to the library for story hour, reading, checking out books & specials films, peddle boating, playing in door & out door games, toys, arts & crafts, back yard inflatable water-slide, back yard inflatable baby pool, visiting a pet store, occasionally taking them out for a treat & more.

My Salary Requirements My rates for a live-out position can consist of 5 options. . .. . ..
For a Full time long term live-out position starting in the Summer & or Fall of 2012 1) Full-time-for one family only-A minimal of $1,650.00 or more per month and nanny share isn't required. (I may be somewhat flexible with this, if I can find one or two roommates. 2) If I have roommates-$[phone number hidden] per month and not less then $350.00 per week. Nanny share isn't required. 3) Full-time-for Nanny Share between two families- A minimal of $825.00 per month per family, which equals up to $1,650.00 per month between two families. (This is the only way I can afford a live-out position). 4) Part time care is $10/hr -$12/hr & summer care rates are negotiable 5) Full-time-Senior Care rates-are open for discussion. My rates for a live-in position can consist of 3 options 1) For one family-$1,200.00 per month. 2) If a nanny share arrangement could be arranged between two families, than a minimal of $600.00 per month per family. That would equal up to $1,200.00 per month. 3) Rates may be negotiable, if I can work out a 2nd job somewhere else and both jobs all together would equal up to $1,200.00 per month and or $1,650.00 per month for a live out position. Thank you for your time & I look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely Rebecca
